Sorry to disappoint Lyle, especially considering the timing, but the producers of the Like a Dragon show said that they aren't going to be doing the goofier aspects of Like a Dragon, pretty much only going for the straight story.

That's a tad disappointing, but I also don't think the tonal whiplash of Yakuza/LAD would translate very well from a game setting to a TV show. Especially since the vast majority of side stories don't affect the admittedly more serious main plot.

The answer to eSports Olympics is maybe to concentrate on more classic games that still have managed the test of time and still have a following. Like, TF2 is available anywhere Steam is, and could be an event. Just to give an example. Maybe something from the original Nintendo or Atari consoles. You also absolutely need a RTS representation like Starcraft on boat. Then maybe change like 2-3 games to keep relevancy and have the more popular games represented.
