I absolutely agree that pregnancy, birth and early postpartum time are always right and meant to be because they prepare you for motherhood. This time might break you down to make you be able to take in the new, or make you find your anger and agency in order to stand for your child later in life. But that experience is never 'wrong', a failure or a disappointment in the big picture, even if you feel absolutely crappy. What a beautiful episode, I hope Rumer has a happy & safe birth experience and may the hormone rollercoaster treat her well 🩷

Another lovely episode! Rumer has such good insight in regards to becoming a new mother. I wonder if y’all have heard of the doula Domino Kirke? Birth worker extraordinaire and wife of Penn Badgley. She also has a blended family with him. She’d be a really interesting guest to hear from!
