On the VBAC situation, there is a whole criteria for patients who are allowed to have a VBAC including the size of the child, the reason for previous CS, the position of the baby in the womb etc. It is a medical criteria, so some patients who do not meet the criteria will end up with CS. It is not the doctor "forcing" people to have CS's. Its the science behind it.

claire zeinab I think that’s what was said in parts of this video. That there’s reasons why it can’t happen and that the doctor has the final say. We were reiterating that it would be a great option and that Doctors have in the past discouraged patients from the get go BUT they have the final say and they have their reasons. Thank you!

It's a shame how hospitals take advantage and are only in it for the money. I pray you get the process of your choice, healthy baby and a safe VBAC.. I had my first born via cs in 2016 but he passed on in June 2017.. So imagine my desire to have another little one but due to cs I decided to wait a little longer.. Am hoping to try VBAC second time round hopefully next year though the misconception is that once a cs mum I should opt for elective cs next time since some doctors refuse to try vaginal birth after cs... But after this video.. Am hopeful VBAC is possible.. Thanks Janet

I have had cs with my first child it was emergency issue. The second I wanted vbac but I didn't get any willing doctor . now he's 2yrs am afraid of ever having another cs. I dont know why doctors are only after money and not what the mother wants !

Hey Janet, I work in a Top private hospital in Nairobi, and we get mothers coming for Trial of Labour all The time, The most recent one a mother delivered twins with a scar.... It requires a supportive obs/gynae and close monitoring by The midwives....

I had a CS about 20 months ago and the reason for the CS was that i labored for long and actually stuck at 8cm for hours , My doctor had to perform the CS coz my child was already tired and he had noticed some meconium.. Can ciru please clarify if it is safe for me to try VBAC after unsuccessful labor.?
