FIRST TRIMESTER VLOG (6 - 10 weeks) - antenatal hospital checkups, early scans, symptoms & bleeding in early pregnancy.
In this pregnancy vlog, we’re sharing a lot of firsts with “day in the life” style updates about my pregnancy and hospital visits week by week and you can watch with us as our baby grows through week 6 to week 10 with our “eco” ultrasound scans! I also talk a little about settling back into life in Tokyo since finding out I’m pregnant, my first trimester pregnancy symptoms and body changes, first big pregnancy scare, Japanese pregnancy subsidies, and learning what it means to give birth as a foreigner in Japan!
In our next update, I’ll be having my first belly ultrasound and undergoing various antenatal tests to check that both mama and baby are happy and healthy! I can so relate, amwf married couple here in the U.S. 🙋‍♀️ I moved here from Germany and we're now almost 9 weeks pregnant. Being away from family and friends during this time can feel sad at times. Best of luck to your pregnancy though! 🙂

Knock on wood about that morning sickness! I only threw up once my whole pregnancy. I choked on my toothpaste in my ninth month and wet bleh! 😅 But that woosiness was real! It was kind of making it hard to start eating every time. I would walk circles around the convenience store knowing I wanted to eat SOMETHING, but nothing looked good. But once I could manage to get the first few bites down, I felt like I had to KEEP eating to keep the nausea down. While eating was the only time I didn't feel sick. But those first couple of bites were the hard part. As far as your hair and face, I, personally, thought my hair was gorgeous while I was nursing, but I didn't notice it during my pregnancy. I'm so excited for you guys! Good luck with everything! 🩷💜🩷🤣🩷

Good to hear things are going well. Our boy is 5 months today and my wife is european and away from home during pregnancy also. We were counting down the days and weeks until delivery. it feels hard but its good to try to enjoy the journey it will go by faster 🙂

Hiya, congrats to you both, have been following your travels for a long time now and I am so excited to see this next exciting chapter of your story. Few quick questions- In the hospital that you are in do you get to stay together in the birthing suite, I see it a lot with couples where the father has to leave for the birth? I guess that leads onto the question of does daddy want to be at the birth? Can't wait to see more...Sending all my well wishes to you both. Congrats again 'mummy' and 'daddy'.

Aw thank you! 🥰 There are some places I’ve heard of like that, but we were given a long list of hospitals to check out from the fertility clinic prior to our first antenatal check and having Bear with me all the way was top priority. At first, our hospital was a bit iffy at times about allowing him in for the first lot of ultrasounds, but they are generally supportive of him being there and specifically state on their website that fathers are encouraged to attend the birth so long as they’re not too distracting or feeling sorry for themselves 🤣

It's just 10 weeks. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶　Kiwi mama👩🏼 and bear papa ( daddy ? ) 🧑🏻‍🦱 are also interesting expressions🤣🤣(🐻 beetle larvae?? , alien👽?? ) 🙄😅 It was, but I thought I was looking forward to the baby👶🏼🤭😊.❤️ I'm glad that morning sickness looks light. Terrible people can't eat at all, and some people can't get up...! 😵‍💫 I'm curious about food. 🫤 It's always the first time, let alone Japan 🇯🇵 !! (*≧∀≦*)ゞ Until it becomes a stable period, there are various things that change every day. Eat what you want to eat the most. I think it's a good thing. Slowly, slowly and relax...(o^^o)

So now it's Kiwi, Bear, and Baby Beetle? 🐻🥝🪲😊 I'm so happy everything is going well so far. You're doing amazing and I'm so happy you're not experiencing too much morning sickness yet. (It's the absolute worst!) As for the good hair and skin, I only had that with Forrest. Both Dorothy and Louise destroyed me physically 😆 As for the spotting, I understand how you feel. I had that with Forrest, too, and because I have ulcerative colitis, I'm was also considered higher risk. It's so good that the doctors there take concerns like that seriously and are taking such good care of you 🥰
