I found out I was pregnant this past December 2023 with my first child. Me and my husband knew we needed to get our finances in order, but it wasn't until I found this channel a month later in January that I realized how bad our situation was. We got our shit together, built a budget, and cut all our frivolous spending. So far we've paid off all but 1 credit card (only $1k left!!), built up a 6 month emergency fund, got a college fund started for our 2 month old daughter, and opened an IRA for retirement. We still have a ways to go, we have a car to finish paying off and I'm way behind on my retirement, but if we keep it up we'll be debt free in under 2 years and I owe it to this channel for opening my eyes and educating me on financial responsibility. Thank you Caleb, my daughter is going to have a better future thanks to you guys!!

Caleb is 100% right. As a parent of a kid with autism who has spent 7 years in therapy, she would be absolutely a No when it comes to an ABA therapist. ABA therapy is supposed to help kids with autism manage and function in this society. How can she help kids when she can't even help herself??
@robh196126 күн бұрын
Thank you for pointing this out! This is what I don’t understand about people like her. Basically every other person you talk to these days has a child with autism. So, if you think about it, ABA therapy is sadly a growing field. She is not doing herself any favors by focusing on bs like OF, instead of working on her actual career. I think girls like this just randomly decide one day “Hey, I think I’m gonna become an ABA therapist because it sounds easy. All I have to do is sit around and play patty-cake with a bunch of toddlers and feed them Capri-Sun and chicken nuggets. How hard could it be?”. They don’t realize that it is a burgeoning career field that you need to stand out in, because parents with autistic kids want the best of the best teaching their children.

Finishing off paying my afterpays and not using that to pay for things anymore because if I can’t afford it in the moment, then I simply can’t afford it. The most you need in the beginning is diapers, wipes, maybe formula, bottles, car seat/stroller, 10 outfits 0-3, and a bassinet. I made one return a rent to own washer/ dryer set, went to the hospital with another to negotiate payment plan for past due med bills (pre service). It was expected as an NCO to get your troops home as straight as possible so you could focus on deployments. I also made sure one of my troop had time to get wife's immigration papers taken care of before deploying. And sat all night with a pregnant wife in the ER because she and hubby were fighting and command had ordered them separated so he couldnt be with her (she was there for high bp not him). Its a NCO duty. My 1st thought when she said he was Army is where the heck is his sergeant??? Someone needs to tell this 22 year old, 1. She is not mentally ready for marriage 2. Definitely not ready to be a mother 3. Not ready in any capacity for credit cards. At least she young enough to dig herself out before retirement age, also if she continues to dig herself deeper, the army will intervene and that won’t be good

DoorDash is pretty much double the cost… it’s genuinely insane. And I’m rather blessed financially and I still feel bad just bc it’s so wasteful. I’m paying for attitude, cold food, and hoping food isn’t tampered with. A $30 order usually winds up being closer to 60 lol

Omg the bed justification was like that saying years ago where people would say "bacon is pig, pigs eat vegetables, therefore bacon is vegetables" lol Honey the bed comfortability doesn't matter at this point with the baby coming. You wont be sleeping much anymore!

I deserve this. That's what everybody does/what you are supposed to do/how you do it/etc. Saying "investing" instead of "spending" when it's clearly neither actually investing nor working at all. I have to keep using my credit card to collect points (while in cc debt and paying much more in interest).

Not to sound dramatic but service-members being in this much debt is a legit national security risk. Also rumors spread in the military faster than wildfire, my guess would be his entire unit and most of the base will know about this before the weekend is over.

Oh my. She really never considered the fact that some parents might have an issue with the person working with their child being on OF is mind boggling. Teachers have to be so careful what they post on a social media because parents are intense about who works with their child. Regardless of whether or not they should care or whether it is technically any of their business, that won’t stop them from complaining to her supervisors if they find out and asking for their child to be pulled from her caseload.
