I only had a singleton but your breastfeeding advice is incredibly important! I went through my "I cant breastfeed the way I planned"-emotions last week and the moment I accepted it the way it was I felt so much more calm and relaxed. New moms put so much pressure on themselves and want to be perfect in every way without realising how much the pressure they create themselves affects them emotionally. I absolutely love your videos - thanks for being real, honest and awesome :D

My twins are 9 now, and I can barely remember being pregnant with them. I wish I would have made a video or kept a journal so I could remember how I felt. I know it wasn’t easy, but I don’t remember any of the details. I do remember saying that I felt like I won the lottery. I felt so blessed to be getting two babies out of one pregnancy. Maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t remember the hard parts lol!!

Thank you so much for posting this! I am currently 8 weeks and just found out that by some miracle I am having twins! For the last 4 days since my ultrasound everything has been crazy and stressful and scary. People trying to be helpful and give advice, doctors telling me that it’s common for one twin to not make it, unkind nurses when I have questions (did I mention this is my first pregnancy?). This video made me feel like a person and not a science experiment! And that I can deliver both babies safe and sound despite what anyone else thinks or says!

Twin momma here (October 2017). I love everything about this. Being a twin mom is an unique experience that is so special but also has some hardships. It’s for sure something you don’t get until it’s your reality. I binged watched YT twin stuff when I was pregnant too! That’s actually how I found you! My back pain was crazy during pregnancy and I’m still having pain. I breastfed the babies until two weeks ago (I quit cold turkey because I just felt like it and they were 13 months haha). It was hard!
@bethanyatkinson69445 жыл бұрын
I had crazy back pain during my Singleton pregnancy, and then during my twin pregnancy it was so bad I couldn't even get out of bed without crying... My midwives referred me to an osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) doctor, and after the first session I didn't think it did any good. But three sessions later I was pain free. With my third pregnancy, which was a Singleton, I started out with back pain until I saw the omts again- and this time I made sure to have appointments the week before baby was born- and it was the first time I didn't have back pain in labor. I will never go through pregnancy without omt again!
@motherhoodmultiplied5 жыл бұрын
Bethany Atkinson Mine started with my Singleton too! It never went away after that first pregnancy but was just terrible during the twin pregnancy and even now it’s so bothersome. I’ve never heard of that! Good to know! I’ve been thinking of going to a chiropractor to see if that might help.

Loved this video! My twin girls are 15 months and the pregnancy was a doozy! I watched mostly twin delivery videos because I could not figure out how it worked and I was determined my body had already proven itself with my 3 singletons so I only considered vaginal an option. I’m so thankful I went into labor on my own at 36.6 with 2 head down babies that I was able to deliver with no medication (because they came so fast.) now I’m 31 weeks pregnant with baby #6 and a bit anxious about the delivery because the twins went so well I’m afraid there is no delivery that can be as awesome as that one. Thanks for the video!

This is great for singleton pregnancies too! I honestly could've never IMAGINED how hard pregnancy has been on me and my body. I BARELY managed to work up to 38 weeks. (That included lots of breaks for certain health issues) Now, I'm on leave waiting for baby girl to make her way into this world. I did not expect to need to sleep alllll the time after hitting 36 weeks, I literally NEED to take a nap. I honestly watched sososososo many pregnancy updates where these women are happy-go-lucky, shining pregnancy glow, working til they give birth and working out fit pregnant mamas and I started to feel envious as if my body was failing me because pregnancy has been sooooo hard for me.

Twins run in my family big time so even though I’m 23 and not close to being married, this could actually be necessary information for me. My aunt has 10 year old triplet boys and she has been in moms of multiples groups since she got pregnant with them and is still close friends with many of the moms from when her boys were small. They go on vacations together as breaks from their kids and there are even some in her area so the boys have other friends that are multiples.

Not twin related but I empathize with your lack of photos and that regret. Thanks to an ED and body dysmorphia, I avoided pictures while pregnant each time. Now I'm in a different headspace and would love to document the crap out of another pregnancy! Alas, we have secondary infertility! The universe has a twisted sense of humor.

This video is so accurate! I don't think I've ever been as tired in my life as I was when I was pregnant with twins. I was so tired that my brain didn't even make very many memories for the first year after they were born. I never could get them to wake up at the same time - I tried sleep training every way I could find to no avail. I remember thinking, when am I going to get out of survival mode??? Turns out it wasn't till they were about 3 LOL. And I totally get what you mean about recovery- when the kids were 18 to 20 months I finally felt like I had enough energy to "do the things" everyday instead of every other day or every third day.

Excellent advice. My pregnancies have been very different from yours. I've been told they're like singleton pregnancies, but I've never had a singleton so I can't say. Of the three twin pregnancies, I agreed to one c-section (set 2) because both babies were transverse. For the third set I pushed for a VBAC and found a provider and hospital who supported that. It's very important to make sure you and your provider are on the same page and that you trust him/her.
@motherhoodmultiplied5 жыл бұрын
That’s encouraging to hear. I’ve heard it can be hard to push for a vbac with twins. I had a vaginal deliver with my Singleton then a C-section with the twins because of positioning.

This was the most informative, realistic video so far! You’re hilarious btw! My wife and I want kids so badly.... however, she’s 40 & I have advanced stage endometriosis. A month ago I underwent a very extensive surgery in which they removed a large mass in my right ovary, my appendix, & all of the endometrial cyst/tissue. Pretty much every surface of my female organs was covered in cyst & scar tissue. I now have a 1yr - 1.5yr window to get pregnant. My doctor will be performing an IUI procedure because I have an inflated risk for a Tubal pregnancy. having an IUI procedure increases your chances for having twins. We’re both ok with that... but I don’t want to kid myself by thinking it will be a cake walk. I’m trying to get as much advice, education on it as possible!

I remember finding your channel while you were pregnant and loving you but seing you were a little "cold" & grumpy (at least that what it seemed on video). Obviously I can only imagine the discomfort of being pregnant with twins ! I went back and watched all the Rosie adoption videos and hoped you'd find your "spark" once the health issues were gone. I feel like you're sharing more & more your sarcastic funny side ! I've been watching Five two love Channel, family of quintuplets and 2 older brothers. Mum is such a darling & dad's funny !
