Considering the 22 month long pregnancy of the African elephant, Palaeoloxodon's would probably take well over 3 years. That's probably the deciding factor for the "upper size limit" of mammals.

There are bush elephants, that are living today, that could weigh up to 12 tons or more. Reminds me of an African hunt back in the 1950’s. The had nitro bullets by that time. According to the leading hunter they estimated the elephant, as 80 years old, because they found a lead ball stuck to its feet.They did kill it with more than seven or more bullets. It was around 28 feet at the waist, and weighed 12 tons.

Indrocotherium is a synonym of Paraceratherium, which is why members of the family Paraceratheriidae (formerly Indrocotheriidae) are now called paraceratheres.

Spinosaurus was once a dinosaur that weighed 20 tons, but thanks to the CT scan experiments in 2022, especially by Paul Sereno, in his research in November 30, 2022 Spinosaurus was confirmed to be extremely clumsy at swimming even at semiaquatic standards, it couldn't even dive,it is less dense in the water than even typical modern day crocodiles, meaning that it'll likely float more than sink, it had to constantly try to not fall on its sail when swimming, the Spino's new size estimate was also confirmed by the CT scan, to grow no longer than 14 meters, and could only weigh a maximum of "7.4" metric tons, or 8 short tons making it smaller than the T Rex which weighed 8-10.9 metric tons, Giganotosaurus which weighed 7-8 metric tons, and the especially smaller than the Palaeoloxodon namadicus which weighed at the weight that Spinosaurus was overestimated with, 20 tons. and also outweighed the Diplodocus which weighed 15 tons.
