The ankylosaurus was just very heavily built and had a really OP 10ft tail but the triceratops still has its advantages like it’s deadly 4ft long horns and very good head manoeuvrability and it’s size advantage. Overall this would be a very close battle!

I just think since the Anky would be on a defense and trikes main weapon is it’s head, it’s just a mismatch.
@abdalazizhazim35203 жыл бұрын
You are right but i think that having a very armored body will easily protect you from getting stabbed by any sharp weapons but in the other hand having only a medium armored head won't protect your brain from getting clubbed by high velocity solid weapon. So it does make sense that the anky will win almost all the fights
@josevitorag3 жыл бұрын
@@abdalazizhazim3520 yeah. Trike horns are made to pierce tissue and muscles, like an swork or katana. Both are bad against an armor. Anky club tail would be made to break the bone as an concussive weapon, like an medieval mace, that is indeed effective against armor. So while trike's horns would just cause lesser wounds and most likely be deflected by the osteoderms, anky's tail club would be capable of giving some solid hits on trike's head, breaking the bone and causing some bad injuries.

@@strongman5243 Mammoth is a easy target for the Anky since the Mammoth attacks first it would most like crush the Anky with his legs but this won't work since Anky is equipped with tough armor and since the Mammoth is in a straight position a strike to the leg would leave the Mammoth collapsed due to how strong the club is and the immense weight of the Mammoth and since Elephants in real life are really intelligent creatures they could exploit a way to kill the Anky by flipping it down and a well placed strike from the Mammoth using his tusks could end the Anky

Despite the size difference between these two ankylosaurus was deceivingly heavy, anywhere between 8-10 tons making it similar in weight to the trike and even a trex. It’s highly unlikely that a trike could flip over the Anky without either injuring its own neck or breaking its horns due to shear forces. If the triceratops decides to charge the Anky, the fight would end in seconds as the Anky instinctively swings its tail and strikes the trike directly in the skull, causing internal bleeding, severe brain damage and most likely killing it instantly. The triceratops’ best chance would be to feign a charge and make the Anky swing and miss so that it can charge and possibly impale the Anky through the abdomen.

Nah, Ankylosaurus is actually the easier meal for T.rex here, but it is rarer, Triceratops live in abundance which is why T.rex prefer to hunt them, before you say that, Ankylosaurus is actually pretty small, only 5 meters, and it is no taller than adult human, T.rex would've step on its tail, disable it and immediately goes for the throat, plus Ankylosaurus couldn't swing its tail for over 90 degrees each side, which mean its tail swing doesn't have a lot of reach.
@whaiwhaichiong52913 жыл бұрын
It’s impossible for a T-Rex to step on the tail of the Ankylosaurus because the Ankylosaurus will break it’s foot before it could react to it and Ankylosaurus is full of armor and it’s built to protect itself from powerful bites including the T-Rex’s

@abdurrachmansatrio53723 жыл бұрын
Agree, and the Triceratops is also lot more heavier than the Ankylosaurus, so every time Triceratops charged the Ankylosaurus, it would put Ankylosaurus on a back foot, and this situation will make it difficult for Ankylosaurus to swing its tail.
@hresvelgr71933 жыл бұрын
It is believed that a charge would break the horn of a Triceratops. And in the event of a charge all the Ankylosaurus has to do is turn side or rear on and hunker down. It is a very stable animal that could stop a charge much like how heavy infantry can stop cavalry charges
@huunamphannguyen27552 жыл бұрын
easy, just go to the head side and turn extremely quickly to face the ankylosaurus head to head, with the imformation of the video we were known that a trike could easily do this manuever then as the ankylosaurus tries to counter instantly flip stab it right into the head with your max force or it's legs, they're vunerable when it's using the defensive posistion a side where it's higher than the other side

In my opinion, if you look at the latest restoration map of Ankylosaurus, it is possible to beat Ankylosaurus by piercing the horns through the triceratops because it has evolved into a structure that is difficult for Tyrannosaurus to bite because it has bones at appropriate intervals rather than being densely formed like armor. And although there was a lot of muscle on the tail, it was strong, but the angle of swinging was limited, making it difficult to hit the triceratops unless it was completely behind. Finally, there is a difference in height between Ankylosaurus and Triceratops, so even if they are not horns, Ankilo is likely to die by raising his legs and feet one by one and pressing Ankylosaurus as his weight.

Unlike most here, I think the Triceratops would quite clearly have the edge. Not only was it larger and heavier, but it was also faster. And I simply don't see how an Ankylosaurus would be able to stop an 11-ton Triceratops charging at full speed (20 mph) from piercing it with over 3-feet-long sharp bony horns. There is simply NO armor in the world that would resist that, regardless of how thick it was. I think it is an obvious win for Triceratops.
@shinobimoondog45803 жыл бұрын
I agree. There is just NO way that armor would stop those horns from piercing coming at it at 20 miles per hour and over 11 tons of weight behind it. There is just no resisting that.

@@mr.football3299 They are overrating the Ankylosaurus' armor. Sure it was thick, but it was still made of bone, not titanium. I'm pretty sure those Triceratops horns would do quite a bit more than just "scratching" it if charging at full speed.
@sisenor52493 жыл бұрын
@@shinobimoondog4580 Triceratops could even flip the Ankylosaurus, just like rhinos nowadays do with other animals and even cars. The analysis missed to evaluate the Triceratops charging at full speed and it only analyzed the Triceratops slowly coming at the Ankylosaurus and then acting. Then it is an obvious advantage for the Ankylosaurus.
@KevinMartinez-3 жыл бұрын
You're misinformed if that's what you think. Honestly you sound silly and ignorant if think a Triceratops has a slightest chance against Ankylosaurus. Do not let your bias cloud your judgement. First of all no animal with slightest brain cell, would not chance a head on collision against an 8 to 10 thousand pound armor tank with mace sized club without risking major injury or death to itself. Triceratops do not charge at a T-Rex let alone an Ankylosaurus. Plus T-Rex tend to feed on Triceratops since it was one of their main source of diet then Ankylosaurus. T-Rex avoided Ankylosaurus more then 90 percent as they knew it was an impossible dinosaur to hunt and kill. Triceratops do not weigh 11 tons. They weigh 8 Tons max. The frail and the horn on a Triceratops is weaker then Ankylosaurus multi layer thick of armor bone, including thick layer of armored spikes covering throughout it's entire upper to middle layer body. You also forget the horns of a Triceratops are of made out of the same material as our fingernails. It's not as strong or durable as bone. Charging at full speed against armor tank of an animal (even the power of the impact coming to play), the horns would break as well with the frail and give him major concussion. An Ankylosaurus would just hear a Triceratops (since they have a great sense of smell and hearing), charging full speed ahead at him and simply just wack him with his tail club. They can swing that club at high velocity with tremendous speed to one shot the skull of a Triceratops, or break the rib cage or break the bones on their legs. Triceratops have soft layered skin from their neck to their tail.
@pxvn19693 жыл бұрын
Yep, the only real way to hurt an ankylosaurus is by flipping it and piercing the soft underbelly, but the triceratops is not intelligent enough to understand or do that, it takes some intelligent dinosaurs like Indominus Rex to figure that out...

As a child, I was always fascinated with how different a Triceratops and a Stegosaurus are from each other, and I'd sometimes wonder how would a fight between a Triceratops and a Stegosaurus would pan out. Also, another one would be a Triceratops vs a proboscidean of comparable size, such as a Columbian Mammoth.

Fun fact: It took a team of more than one T-Rex to even take a Triceratops baby. This is because Triceratops traveled in herds and formed a phalanx to protect its young against predators. The T-Rex teams distracted and lured the Triceratops away from its young because the Triceratops isn’t really all that smart lmao. Plus their frill limits their field of vision meaning the other Rex could sneak up on the baby making an easy prey. A single T-Rex would dare not attack a Triceratops unless it was alone, but even then it was hard due to its agility. Outsmarting it was the only option.

I don't know if you'll consider any of these; But I have a few ideas for misc match-ups between dinosaurs, animals and kaiju; 1; Butcher Raptors (From Serina a Spec Ev project) vs Velociraptors (Historically accurate). 2; Rudy (From Ice age 3 Assuming it was 75 feet long) Vs the Indomunis rex (At full size, so 50ft long) (Two might seem grossly unbalanced on the surface, though the Indomunis rex is also REALLY intelligent, capable of color changing, and 100% has a stronger bite force, while Rudy being based on a Giant Baryonyx would have had a much weaker bite force for gripping and holding, with claws made for grappling, meaning there isn't a clear edge for either from what I've thought.)
