@Sup2000 Simple as that they have to so they hatch them. Also I'm sure the babies are already spoken for so as soon as they hatch they pack them up and ship them to their new homes. Plus it gets the babies used to people since that's who greets them when they hatch.

Y’all. She literally does not care that her eggs are taken away. Snakes don’t raise their babies or care for their eggs. She’s grouchy because she just laid, likely hasn’t eaten in a while, and isn’t handled often.

Its an instinctual response for this snake to protect its clutch of eggs. It absolutely cares when humans or anything else comes along and tries to take her eggs away and not just because she is hungry or grouchy. She may not know why she is so protective of them and she may even eat dead or spoiled eggs like you said but there is a completely different response, especially in the wild, from a snake that is protecting eggs.

She's absolutely gorgeous, and a good mom. I just wish there was a way to tell her that they're her friends and they're just trying to make sure as many babies as possible actually make it. I'd say that they could make an incubator big enough for her too, but they'd still need to do this to cut the eggs and make sure the babies have less difficulty getting out so they don't drown in there.

My sister and I went to England for 2 weeks her husband was in charge of taking care of our chickens while we were gone. When we got back we had 4 broody hens sitting on at least 12 eggs apiece because he was afraid to take the eggs once they started going broody 🤣

I have watched Brian Barcyk for years. He has many snakes species of this size. None are agressive because they're handled from a young age with gentleness and absolute adoration. None live in a small box. They have enclosures that replicate their individual habitats. This is the second time I've watched this snake having her eggs removed. It's also the last time I will watch anything from from this channel. I will admit I'm phobic about any snake, but I am in awe of them from afar. Your KZbin channel is titled JayPrehistoricPets, but none of your animals are treated carefully as "pets." It's why they're "grumpy" and have "attitudes" which is your description of them.

Snakes have no visible ear, so they don't hear sounds as we do. But it's not quite right to say that snakes are deaf. They have vestiges of the apparatus for hearing inside their heads, and that setup is attached to their jaw bones, so they feel vibrations very well and may hear low-frequency sounds. I know literally nothing about snakes. I dont particularly care for or about snakes. Im sorta indifferent. They don't scare me, I'd hold one if I needed to, and I'd never kill one. This video was somehow in my auto Playlist and I just wanted to comment saying that that snake is like really pretty. I am an artist. The colors on her and the way they meld together is very inspiring to me. The charcoal greys and how they melt to the lighter greys is stunning. The white creamy color.. The pops of yellow are...
