I'd love to see some sample exam questions and your reasoning for your answers on them, either working through the math and economic concepts or explaining terminology from the questions/Answers. A range between early exams and the later exams, maybe a video for each exam, would probably yield the most views, also I'd appreciate it the most. Love Your content by the way.

Ellellevlog I feel like the "..." implies sarcasm but I can never tell on the Internet. Being able to find a bunch of examples that wernt recorded on camcorder from 2003 and actually understanding what you're say is really lacking from KZbin's Actuarial videos, I feel like theirs a big demand for it.

No sarcasm. Sorry !

What do you mean by writing exams? Are you actually writing questions, or are you responding or answer questions?
@jehadali57645 жыл бұрын
Long time, no new videos. Hope all is well.

Ellellevlog haha how do you feel about it... I watched some of the videos you made about the reasons why we might like it or not? how do you enjoy it?

You mentioned forecasting. I recently took a time series analysis course and I hated it! At work, are you often building ARIMA or Exponential Smoothing models?
@Ellellevlog7 жыл бұрын
No I don't build time series models. That's not to say it's not something actuaries do, but I generally work with GLMs if I'm modeling.

hi, i was wondering what study manuals do you used to study for advanced actuarial exams?

When you and your co-workers write the same test, do you feel like there is a not-so-friendly competition behind the scenes? Ultimately, you are all fighting to stay on the job, right? Also, does the company give up on you after n+1 tries and would eventually let you go if you could not pass a test? Could you chose to be happy on a certain level without going all the way on all the exams available?

I know the number of exams depends on what path you choose. But on average, how many years do you think it takes to take all the exams? I'm 20 and taking 2, P and FM, this summer. Do you think I will be done before I'm 30?
@Ellellevlog7 жыл бұрын
Definitely doable
@pudensa7 жыл бұрын
but what's your thought about being majoring in accounting and be an actuary?
@Ellellevlog7 жыл бұрын
I was very bored during the 1 accounting class that I took in university.. but if you enjoy it, don't let me stop you!

Oh no I missed it!!!! I know EXACTLY what happened. Today I posted a video to Instagram and I only post like 3-5 times a year so that whenever I do post it's like a "special event" and I got so many notifications from likes and stuff (I got like 31 likes on this one... I know I'm soo popular) and the notification for your livestream must have gotten buried in all the other notifications and I missed it (again...sooo popular) anyways I'm really sorry I missed this one an I'll try my hardest to be a better subscriber and I'll even try to grow more thumbs for ya cuz I know how much you LOOOVE those thumbs👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿

+Van Guard I'm not even making half of that. And I'm in Quebec = highest income tax in North America
@byronwilliams79777 жыл бұрын
What is it like working in Quebec in terms of being financially compensated for your skill? I'm in the US and would be interested in how your income has changed by province. The last video i saw, you were living in Toronto.
@Ellellevlog7 жыл бұрын
+Byron Williams I'm from Quebec. I will be moving to Toronto in the near future!
@byronwilliams79777 жыл бұрын
Why did you choose Quebec over Toronto ? I'm from Toronto btw, currently studying in the States. Also which province do you think will provide you with the work life/personal life balance. Growing up in Toronto, and comparing it to parts of the of the States, the pace of life is a lot slower and more manageable.
