Trust Prelude records to do such an epic compilation. Prelude was the home of modern disco music, 1976-1984. No real rival except Casablanca on the West Coast. Also, Salsoul records, NYC. Luv em all. Thanks much, Prelude records. Dance on in Preludance. Vive les disco freaks...

I remember when I used to listen Disco music all day long, listening complete songs for more than 16 minutes, with a beat without stopping! Dancing for hours, nice clothes, nice discotheques... I still go dancing to Disco Clubs and we dance for hours! Thank You for sharing it! I love this mix. :)

I wasn't born in the 1970's or early 80's. But I feel the best music that show cased disco funk music. Was 1977-1981. 1982 and 1983 had great disco music. But it was going more and more towards heavy medal. And young teens and 20 somethings were starting to put all types of things in there hair. Like for example the spike hair due.

Lol! mixing disco from vinyl is a bit more challenging then pushing the buttons on a CDJ like nowadays. It's a trade! Rhythms were live-drummed, by humans, and are therefore not computer-straight at all times as modern beats. Although i love modern sounds, nothing beats the soul of a warm funky groove.... :-)
