I like the slightly restrained registration. It is not one of the expansive Preludes and Fugues and therefore the understated performance with just a little bit of bright sparkle is fitting.

Because it’s easier? Performers make choices about how “historically accurate” they wish to be. Organists have fewer choices in that they are generally stuck with using the instrument that’s provided which means that stops, winding, regulation, voicing, pitch, temperament, size of keys, design of pedalboard are set. If you are to play a wide range of repertoire including from the Romantic and Modern eras then you will need to learn to use heels. It can be safer to use just one technique and adapt it to eg phrase as though you were only using toes when playing earlier repertoire.

Why would you play with toes only just because Bach did it? Mind you, people didn't even play with thumbs before Bach changed that.

What is important in musical performances to an audience? THE MUSIC! Except of course to minds who want to judge what they see as "flaws". She plays wonderfully, and as someone else said here, what is WRONG with using heels??? They work don't they?
