I have a 16 yo daughter who loves Mr Kapustin’s etudes since she was very small. She wished to play those music and kept learning for 12years (well she’s still learning tho) and finally she did! That was great joy for her and also for our family. We appreciate Mr Kapustin so so much for beautiful, fun and technical music. The pieces are extremely hard to play but always let us exited in so many ways. Can’t thank enough for great music!😊

You might have the best Kapustin interpretations I've ever heard. Everything is crispy and clean, and I love the musicality and ornamentations -- bravo!

Yes, his very fine and short ornamentations are great, like the very genuine spices of a masterchef

@@MeatBunFul: Kapustin is classical; inspired by Jazz, but as per his own words first and foremost classical.

My, how you enjoyed playing that, with that smile!
Many pianists approach these etude too fast forgeting the idiomatic bossa nova tempo and specially the typical jazz nuances. I heard only two pianists playing Kapustin's crossover pieces with the right essence: the composer himself ... and Cateen!!!!!! Chapeau Sumino-san!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair to those other pianists, they're just following directions. Kapustin does indicate a faster tempo on the score (quarter note = 144) than he actually plays it in his own recordings. He plays the opening closer to 132-135, and there's a bit of ebb and flow throughout. Classical-only pianists tend to take the tempo indication too literally and play it at a metronomic 144 throughout, which loses all the nuance and soul, especially in the bouncy rhythmic left hand. Cateen's tempo is close to how Kapustin actually played it, but also with some unique variations and personal flair added in. I love it!
So exciting ! You are the ideal pianist to play Kasputin jazz/classical fusion style. Gorgeous and groovy, thank you.

Finally ! News from my favorite studio in the world. 🤩 Cateen + Kapustin = perfect match The joy on your face is already worth watching but of course i am absolutely grateful to listen to your captivating sound as well. Brings back wonderful memories of your fantastic "Reimagine" live stream. Thank you so much. Enjoy your time in Tokyo 🤍
I'm starting to learn this piece today after hearing him played it in concert… I swear here that I will have finished this piece before March 2025, thanks for motivating me.
