I love how usman handled his loss. Straight up just accepted it and acknowledged Leon as the better man that night. Could have been super sour considering how well usman was doing in the fight but instead was just humble and respectful. I became more of a fan after that loss.

It's crazy how at the highest level of this sport, the momentum, the pace, can be so spaced out. People can fight once a year... That's crazy. Imagine if football players only competed 2 times all season..

In every sport you give a bit of yourself. Even sports we think are soft, people give up their knees, they give up their backs etc. Now look at boxing and MMA, they give up as ridiculous amount, years of their life probably, at least years off their health. Now imagine trying to tell them to do that every week lol. MMA is a mysterious sport, they hide all of the gory details from the fans usually. In any given fight, BOTH fighters have at least one injury. THAT is a good outcome. A fighter with a busted knee, a hand not completely healed, that's like the good days. Now imagine if they fought weekly or fortnightly or even monthly, they would be fighting with 10 injuries at once! Actually the end product would be trash lol. The fans would hate it. Remember when Usman said he was at 30%? You would be seeing fighters at 3% lol. The fans would be the first ones to say it's gotta stop. There is a balance, I think someone like Adesanya got the balance right, fighting 3 times a year.
