True!! The first sub 4 metre car In market. Because of it's limited dealership it was discontinued. Premier brought in Peugeot 309 and the same happened. Good review

Hello sir, i am your follower from Malaysia. In Malaysia this same model car was launched as " Perodua Kembara"in year 2000. I have shocked when look this car in your thumbnail. But this design came from the brand call Daihatshu. The Perodua company in Malaysia is also under Toyota and Daihatshu from beginning till now

Pocket friendly compact monocoque RWD 😍‼️The Rio was probably the last of its kind in the world. Would have happily bought a used Rio if Tirupur too had a specialist like your friend 😀. TUD5 Peugeot was an indirect injection diesel engine. Making it another interesting topic for yesteryear technology discussion. I like to think of it as mechanical terrorism ‼️😅. Worked at very high compression ratios. Inorder to fire a pre-combustion chamber which inturn fired the actual cylinder 🤣😂🤣. All this inorder to harness direct injection diesel harshness. Diesel injection pressure was dependent on engine speeds before the CRDI era you see😅‼️ There was the Rush & the earlier Avanza which Toyota sourced from FAW but they were both BOF chassis not monocoque.😊 Wonderful coverage. Loved it. You made my day.😍

We have owned this rio for last 11 years nice car but if break down spares is the problem but we will get it end of the day We have diesel one gud mileage we get around 20 to 22 on highway and 15 to 17 on city Every 5k oil change is done very smooth engine but lil bit noisy - from Bangalore ❤
