I've using final cut for a long time for my video editing but I wanted to challenge myself and decided I want to learn how to edit in Premier Pro, this video was so helpful! As someone who's constantly getting distracted I was highly surprised of how much I learned and how easy and straight forward you made everything look. I'm excited to start this new journey!

DO NOT skip the Interpret Footage step! The reason is because if you put a 60 FPS clip in a 24 FPS timeline, then it will be choppy and skip frames. Make sure to make it consistent (usually to match the lowest frame rate)

@@Yenxy_Edits Nah it has changed now with the latest version, at least the one that Adobe CC downloaded for me.. now when you click on "new project" it takes you to a window to select your media, then once you create the project (automatically into the edit tab), you have to click on the "FILE" menu, then down the bottom of the drop down menu find "PROJECT SETTINGS", and then "GENERAL" from the next drop down menu. Maybe there's a way to set it up to go straight to that window the same as the way he has it here, idk. But that's where & how I found it on my version 🙂

OK so this is not even close to anything for beginners. Just like every person who makes these types of videos they claim it's for beginners but skip all the things a beginner has to know, then jumps into advanced editing. This video requires advanced knowledge of adobe Premiere Pro. People always try to talk down to me, but yet will never ever get into a voice chat with me so I can get my points across..Meanwhile There is still no video tutorials for beginners and people will continue having all sorts of problems with this.
@markozele9939
@markozele9939 2 жыл бұрын
Aight man, then tell me what and why you thjnk this is not for beginners exactly. I watched his old 2021 video tutorial on premiere pro, and I had absolute zero knowledge on how to edit and i basically learned everything i needed in that very video. In this video he goes in depth to a few points BUT every single aspect a beginner needs to know is very well explained, not assuming you have more knowledge than knowing what a left click and right click is and knowing basic english. Even you can scroll down to comments to the old video and see how many people who are absolute beginners thank him for explaining it all. The only assumption this tutorial has is that a viewer has the pc-related knowledge on a level a 5 grader learns in school, if you don't have it, the tutorial is not for you. If you indeed have a point to prove, go ahead, prove it.

@@markozele9939 Because it's not for beginners Go watch this video I made kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4bXmmtnptZ2o8k Pay especially close attention to these parts: 0:25 - 0:52 1:52 - 3:13 3:45 - 4:33 Knowing how to use certain aspects of certain options is irrelevant to being taught how the program itself works and how to use it. Importing and editing are not basic functions, they are functions for advanced users only because you have to know how the program itself works. All the videos out there do is open certain options in the program and click a couple of things. That doesn't do much to help anyone that has accidentally did something. As I show in 3:45 - 4:33 Importing and editing are advanced features and no video that jumps right into either should ever be titled FOR BEGINNERS because it's not. for starters a beginner video will be going over things like a glossary. The fact that there isn't any discussion about what words from the program they will be using in the video and what they mean so the viewer will know what is being talked about when it's said thus making it so the viewer can follow along. Anyone using words, phrases, and terminology from within a program without going over them before going into the video is a direct no-no for a so called beginner video, because it turns away beginners because all you do is confuse them and they won't watch it. When everything in that video gets created in the exact way I said it needs to, then and only then you can move on to importing/editing.

@@matthewcollins8829 I've read carefully your message and watched the whole video, so I understand the point you're trying to make, although I don't agree with you. I think some words and terms should be explained while explaining how to edit in Premiere Pro, that is true, although I think making a complete video dedicated to terminology is completely useless, at least for absolute beginners. If you make 10 videos for beginners they should watch BEFORE learning how to edit, everyonr will think 'oh i dont have that much time, the program really must be that hard to use', but if you make a 13 minute video on how to start editing, which contains enough info for them, beginners will be more likely to choose learning Premiere Pro. How is latin being taught in school? When starting to read a fully latin text, the teacher doesn't list out all of the words and explain them to students, the first thing done is starting to read the text: 15% of the words you will understand cause they are the roots for some words in your language, and the rest you figure out from the context of the sentences. The last few that still remain unknown you google up after school. The point is, learning those terms before editing like a nerd is not a good idea, it's better to connect the terms with the ones you know while applying your knowledge, and the more experience you get in editing, the more you expand your glossary. Accidentaly clicked on 'Text' buttom? Yea the first time maybe you close up the whole program, but an intelligent being will see how it's inefficient and try out another way: 'well since this button is now blue and is clickable, that means the other gray ones with same font and size in the column might also be clickable, let's see what they do'. A video on which buttons you can click? If I saw that I'd laugh my ass off, you open up the program and click everything, some thing will expand or change when clicked, some will stay the same. Worst case scenario: my video turns red and I use CTRL+Z. If anyone encounters a problem they can't solve in Premiere Pro, they google it. Being self-taught, especially when encountering a problem, is the best way to learn. Also, if this video was bad for beginners I'd see more grumpy people like you in the comment section, and less beginners thanking the guy who made this.

This video was so helpful! Thank you so much. I have always wanted to make KZbin videos but have been intimidated by editing. I started editing in Premier Rush and after watching this video feel confident enough to use Premier Pro :)

Just switched over from using lightworks because i felt limited - all of the "trendy" editing styles basically require adobe to implement them efficiently. So I needed a quick "how everything is laid out" and this was PERFECT. hit all the major points efficiently and now i can go watch more advanced videos for specifics i run into. thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I suppose I should have watched the 2023 version, but I was able to do everything I needed to do with this video. I was so confused when I first opened Premiere Pro because I'm used to two other video programs, so I was lost on Premiere Pro. But you made it easy for me to learn the platform and complete my project. I feel much more comfortable finding what I need on PP now. Thanks again!

Very valuable content and I like the simplicity of your explanation. As the matter of fact I've been working With Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for decades. And from the way the demand changes with time, ive been looking for someone like you to walk me thru Adobe Premiere, and I'm so excited to come across your channel. Good job dude!
