Premiere Pro vs Davinci Resolve 📷😱

I built a new PC for video editing, and tried to edit some projects on both Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve, here's what I found!

I personally use DaVinci Resolve. One of the best thing is that I can do lots of tasks in one program. I love DaVinci. DaVinci is so stable for me. (i7 10th gen, GTX 1650 Max-q, 16GB RAM)

Hey i have a similar setup...can you edit 4k in davinci? I have a lot of lag on my system with 4k on premier

@@AnomalyEdits I can edit 4K 60FPS HEVC videos in DaVinci Resolve. It's little bit lagging but personally for me comfortable for editing. In DaVinci Resolve you can change proxy settings. I always set timeline resolution to quarter if I editing 4K videos. Do you want ask me something else? Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck!

@@thevgrplay thankyou very much...I'm currently using premier but evryone online loves davinci...didn't want to spend too much time learning a new software...how long did it take for you to learn davinci?

@@AnomalyEdits DaVinci Resolve is first professional software that I started using. Before I used smartphone editors and I saw how working Sony Vegas (old version). Then I I searched lots of information and started using DaVinci Resolve. Personally for me basic editing takes only few times to learn and then every time I learn something new. At least for me DaVinci Resolve is a lot more logical than Premier Pro. Do you have laptop or desktop?

Sounds more like a user error. Lower your timeline playback to half or quarter. Davinci resolve playback benefits from cpu and gpu. Good luck.

Final cut on my PC as a hackintosh for over a year was great as long as you didn't install updates, but I finally went with the M1, then M1 Max and FCPX works great.

Do you edit off internal or external m.2 ssd’s? Because most m.2 enclosures are only 10 Gbps which would bottleneck performance.

If you kick a clips speed up much, how much depends on your computer, it will cause a bit of lagging, which could explain the audio being a bit behind.

the problems you where having are mistakes you made (i did the same when i started using davinci) but you have to cach while your editing, its a beginer mistake i really hope you give davinci another chance its really way faster and better then premiere when you learn its quicks

I can edit 4k inside premier with 32gb ram, no proxies. It only lags when I get to 5+ layers but if I do a render I'm good. I have an i7-12700 CPU and RTX 3070 Ti, and I run the project on the same drive as the clips. Cut my editing time in half.

What PC build would you recommend for 4k food content video editing with premier pro. A friend suggested buying a gaming PC or building one myself which is definitely out of the question. I don’t know where to start as I am just now buying the the camera, lenses and other gear

If your editing is lagging, it's because you lack enough ram

@@RealJustPotato and how is caching achieved? RAM. If you aren't caching properly, it's because you ran out of RAM and your device is relying on SWAP, which is orders of magnitude slower (and if you have an SSD, kills it much faster than ordinary use)
