So refreshing to see someone who doesn’t think a guitar has to be vintage to sound good!
@grantshenton70794 жыл бұрын
Totally agree and I like that it’s just stock , think artists who take the money to do “signature models” should tour with their model straight out the box . Chris Robertson from Black Stone Cherry is the only one I know with his PRS who does ,he just changes the strings cos he likes 9s and it ships with 10s

What?!?!!? Who said that?

Truth. So tired of that vintage talk.
@jb19345 ай бұрын
100%. It struck me immediately. The guy was actually fishing for that, thinking maybe just maybe that guitar is much older than it looks and it'll trigger some golden anecdote... nope! it's not old at all, and completely stock. I'm one of those people who can't hear the difference between a '59 Strat and a '64 Firebird. I can't define what makes great tone, but I know it when I hear it, and she's got it.

She mentioned the Chicago Music Exchange where she got the Danelectro from. If you're a guitar freak like many of us, there are about 10 shops in the US that are like our Mecca. CME is one. It's just an experience all on it's own. You can get anything from a $500,000 59 Les Paul to a $300 Epiphone. And everything in between. If you happen to find yourself in Chicago, it's well worth the trip. Just like if you're in Northern Indiana, you should swing by Sweetwater.

wow new jag huh! from her site - "Samantha will custom sign a brand new, sonic blue Fender Vintera ‘60s Jaguar guitar (Modified HH). This is an updated version of the Fender Jaguar guitar model played by Samantha (Model #: 0149813372). The “Modern C”-shaped neck has a 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, for modern playing feel. An Adjusto-matic™ bridge is paired to Jaguar floating tremolo, while vintage-style tuning machines provide original-era aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Joining the master volume and tone controls, two sliders on the lower bout activate/deactivate each pickup while the third slider activates a “tone cut”. The wheels on the upper horn select between single-coil and humbucking modes for each pickup, giving you more tonal variety. Other features include a kill switch mounted on the upper horn, chrome hardware and four-bolt neck plate. " i wonder how long the run will last.

Sam Fish is the cream of the crop of all those “girls with guitars”. Sure, she looks great, but she more importantly, she also has a very recognisable singing voice and plays pretty good guitar, too.
