What a super nice humble guy. Taught us a lot. Steve Stevens is a “Giver” not a “Taker”! Bless you brother for that lesson. He’ll always be blessed. I got more out of that interview than just the music part, which he is a genius at, but learned that you can be a star and still show humility. Thank you Mr Stevens

there's a lot of good ones like Eric Johnson Uli Jon Roth Joe Satriani John 5 Johnny Hiland and many more then there is rundowns which are what i consider a mixed bag (guitarist and tech sharing different parts) including these ones Steve Lukather Fall Out Boy Tedeschi Trucks Band Jonny Lang

William Allison , I feel the same way but I have come to realize that many of these cats DO NOT actually know anything about the technology aspect lol. A lot of these guys a very very far removed from the bedroom and a couple boss pedals. A lot of us couldn’t imagine having someone else behind the curtain controlling the effects. Some professionals don’t even step on a pedal lol. I’m not knocking it in ANY WAY whatsoever. Maybe that’s why the tech shares the rig rundown. I really love Doyle but to be honest; he wasn’t all that great at explaining the ins and outs of his rig. He did do a little demo of a couple pedals. Which I really dig. I could be wrong

Wow... I've scrolled through a lot of Premier Guitar's Rig Rundowns and clicked on those artists that I like and there's been many but never came across this one. Out of all of those I've watched this is by an immeasurable mark the best rundown. You rarely have the guitarist themselves participate but Steve took this to a whole other level with his down to earth equipment walk-through's and then he gives several on-stage demo's. I liked the guy because of his talent, now I really like him even more because of his personality.

Steve is a very talented man. If you gig we all have stuff n gadgets in our rig to use - this is automatic for steve as it is for everyone else who gigs but it is a invaluable thing to be able to adapt it into in different settings. This is the background stuff the audience are not aware of and it happens from the local dj/singer/artist/band right up to the most lavish productions - the setup is the leg work and brains behind the show/production are vital to the finished show.

Not only is he a great guitarist, but what makes him unique is the enormous amount of work he has done to achieve his particular and recognisable sounds! A programming of all these effects which owe nothing to chance, a meticulous and very long work, a perfect knowledge of his material associated with one of the best guitarist in his style and one obtains stage performances very close to those of the records! Few guitarists in the world have this rigour to play as well on stage as on the studio albums, there is among others Steve Rothery of Marillion and also Tony Lommy of black Sabbath!
