As with almost all acoustic guitar amps, the primary users of them are singer/songwriters and acoustic troubadours who accompany themselves with a guitar while singing. If you don't include a demonstration of the amp's capabilities as a gig rig for the solo acoustic guitarist/vocalist, then it's only half a review.

Can you use an electric guitar through the 40 watt Acoustasonic? The answer is a resounding YES! Tried mine yesterday with my Zoom 3Gn Multi-effects pedal and the electric guitar magic came through loud and clear. Distortion, delay, compression, reverb it was all there and rendered accurately AND with very good volume! And I plugged in my mic in the 2nd port and sang while playing over the electric guitar tones - truly amazing for such a small inexpensive amp!! 😀. Tried the same with my higher watt Fishman and it was much weaker!

Tried one of these (the 200 watt model) today, with an acoustic guitar in channel 1 and a vocal mic in channel 2. This was in a music shop, not a gig situation, but I was very impressed with the sound quality, effects and volume, not to mention its small size and light weight. I can imagine gigging with this raised up on a table (no need to take a speaker stand), set back so it acts as a monitor too. It also has DI outs, which I presume are 'post' rather than 'pre', so it would be easy enough to send a signal to a powered speaker or PA system, and with a 4-button footswitch, features such as an integral tuner can be accessed. I also tried a Laney A-Duo, which was OK for the price, but not as good as the much more expensive Fender, a Fishman Loudbox Mini (excellent, but a better comparison would be the Performer) and a Marshall AS50, which was very good for the price, but a bit heavier than the others.

I have these Equipments for Live performance - 1. Fender Acoustic 100 - 100-watt Acoustic Amp 2. Boss RC-30 Loop Station 3. Yamaha Acoustic guitar 4. 2 Mics (1 is Sennheiser and other is Behringer Ultravoice Xm8500 Dynamic Vocal Microphone, Cardioid) I need some advice on what settings should I set in the Amp, looper, and Guitar for best live sounds. Any advice on getting some more instruments for enhancing the sound quality? I like to play Ed-Sheeran songs and would really appreciate any tips.

Wow! I compared the new fender acoustics to the fishman acoustic, which i had planned to purchase and as for my ears the fender won hands down... UPDATE; Tried one last weekend at a gig, The 100 Watt Model, it failed. NOT ENOUGH POWER. Sounded great a the Store and at Home. To bad. I loved the sound quality.

Is there any way we can connect headphones to the Amp, so If I play my guitar and Mic via the Amp, the sound from the Amp just come in the headphones, and not to the public?

have a general question: How does wattage affect volume? I have seen acoustic amps of 180w sold for $800 while one with 55w sold for $2000 ??? The higher the wattage the more the volume? louder? Does other fx determines the price?

I bought the Fender Acoustic 200 in August of 2020. I was good until it wasn't. Now when I turn on the amp I get loud popping and humming sounds along with annoying distortion and that is without plugging in with my acoustic guitar. When I do plug in it the feed back it unbearable. If I try to connect with the Bluetooth it gets even worse. The amp is unusable. Now the amp is out of warranty, it has been discontinued by Fender and they have no parts for it. Don't do it, if you buy this piece of junk you will eventually regret it. I chose the one star rating (I really dislike) only because there isn't a minus star rating (totally disgusted and a waste of $587 dollars). Since it has been discontinued the price is down in the $300.00 range, but if you really want the throw away 300 bucks go for it.

interesting but when reviewing a stand alone amp please dont mic the freaking thing up ...defeats the object and not a true reflection on the amp

It’s the pathetic 90’s under saddle piezo pickup sound. I don’t know why acoustics have them anymore, they are cheap and horrible.
