@THEpremieroutdoor I am wanting to do a Texas Lone Star inlay. Would it be easier to approach it like you did in this video or block and lay the star first? Blocking might be a little more difficult if I cut the star out after decking is down.

Great work. Can you give us some insight on how/why you set up your mitre station?

Do you do the taping of the framing for weather-proofing or to hide the bracing from showing between the in-lay boards or both?
@THEpremieroutdoor2 жыл бұрын
Mostly to protect the flat blocking!

Love the videos. Quick question. What design software do you use?

@@THEpremieroutdoor thanks! does it generate a materials list and blueprints? We are loking for a one stop software becuase these 3 things (design, materials, blueprints) take up a ton of time as 3 unique actions

@A Z thank you for your unsolicited and useless advice.
@jaredsiler11523 жыл бұрын
@A Z big man. taking those big swings from behind a keyboard. Let's play a little thought exercise... You are trying to grow a company to be more efficient. You have 2 options. Option 1: Hire a person. Pay their salary, taxes, unemployment insurance, your share of health premiums... ~$100k/year (more depending on where you are) Option 2: Research potential software that can help design, itemize, and blueprint a job in one place so that the same person who has been doing these things can now do it faster and for ~$200/month (average cloud software cost). Which would you choose? How's that for swinging a hammer, dumbass.

Is it me or do these decks look better before the inlays?
@buzrash3 жыл бұрын
I agree. The inlays are overkill but it makes the deck stand out. I don't mind it either way
