Premium Class on Alaska's B737-900ER - Seattle to Oakland

After three flights aboard regional jets & turboprops, my last ride of the trip was aboard my favorite airline and on their best plane down to Oakland, California from Seattle in Premium Class. Premium is Alaska's "Economy Plus" offering and compared to the big 3, Alaska's stands out big time in the legroom and beverage choices departments. This flight 1000% reaffirmed why Alaska is so good and why I truly believe they are the best in the USA. Hope you guys enjoy!

I love flying into OAK from SEA on Alaska Airlines during the day. When the weather conditions are clean and sunny, approaching the Bay Area from the north gives stunning views of the city and East Bay. OAK airport is so simple and easy to use, compared with SFO. I agree with you about Alaska Airlines. I've traveled with them for 20 years and in that time I've only had one lost bag that was delivered a few hours later by Alaska to my door.

The what appears to be First Officer next to you was most likely deadheading. When they do they will find an empty seat and take that one. If there isn't one they will take a spot on the flight deck if there is room.

hot take- Having personal devices it better than tvs on the back of the seat 1- Screens on the seat are tiny, and I-pads are bigger 2-Cleaner, you don't wonder about the hundreds of people who have touched that screen, or got stains on it 3-If the tv doesn't work, you're out of luck, but online entertainment works, and even if you can't get it on one device, you can get it on another 4-It's not stuck in one place, you can put it on the tray table, hold it, or put it in your lap

Apple Wallet things: I believe that when you click “add to wallet” in the app, then it won’t update. I had a flight get delayed and the departure time didn’t change. I think it just acts like a regular paper ticket once added to the Apple wallet.

United changed my gate a couple times and I'm pretty sure the boarding pass updated well after it was added to wallet. Maybe the back end systems are different or refresh info at different intervals?
