Electrical tape, seam the middle so half the ball is covered. Then start covering one half with tape from side to other side until its covered. Then add abit more seam at the end . Bowl seam upright and it should swing its a*se off

Grew up on a farm. The pitch was just dirt. We tried tennis balls, with electrical tape. Can't say it swung. We mostly used a 6-stitcher or corky and would bowl fast. Get an edge into the fence or chook house and you were out. Hit one of my brothers in the head with a full toss. Off to the hospital with him. Retired hurt. Dad wasn't impressed.
