I have no use for a premium gig bag but the RB that came with my Grez is a serious piece of gear. You wont save any space over a hard case - the thing is substantial - but much lighter and with lots of features that I imagine a traveling guitarist would appreciate..

For me, it's the weight and being able to strap it to my back so that I can carry amp in one hand and pedalboard in the other leaving me a one trip load in.

I love my Mono dual gig bag but haven’t ever tried a Reunion Blues bag! A couple things about the mono that might be useful for people to know - the back pocket where the straps go when not in use is perfect for an iPad, music folder, or your laptop. Also, the Mono bags have clips on the front that their Tick case can strap into for additional storage if needed!

To me the biggest argument for a Reunion Blues is if you have an angled headstock. If you do, it just makes the most sense. If you don't, the M80 is fantastic. I use them both very regularly.

Hey Phillip! Thanks for the comparison! I've got a couple of Mono M80s that I really enjoy for extra storage space, might even get the tick bag at some point. That being said I definitely think that I ever get the opportunity to fly somewhere with my guitar (I foresee being extremely anxious that day haha) that I'd pick up the reunion blues!

I bought an LP Jr recently on a trip and had to fly back with it and while I opted for a hard case to fly back with it, if a Reunion Blues had been an option, I'd have felt pretty safe with it!

@@oscarmera7112 it was a pretty standard SKB case. First flight it went under the plane, second flight it went on the plane with me in a coat closet.

The RB looks like it's missing the lower padding piece given there's a couple of bare Velcro pads there. I know the RB Oxford has removable padding in that area.

I appreciate the review. What little traveling I've done lately, I've been using a RoadRunner gig bag. Also traveling with an acoustic 6-string and/ or 12-string. Pretty sure the resonator needs to travel in its hard case, but I'm usually driving. Looking at the Mono, and now the Reunion Blues. I have plenty of electrical that need better cases.

I don't own a Roadrunner bag but I've been really impressed with some of the newer ones they're putting out! I feel like a lot of case manufacturers are really stepping up their gigbag game.

@40WattPodcast - the Riad Runners aren't bad bags for the money. Mine are a little older and have seen a few moves, and held up well. I recently took a short flight and was able to gate check an acoustic. No horror stories. If I start flying more, I'll upgrade my gugbag game. Thanks again

Thanks for the informative video! I have a Gibson L4 which has the size of ES175. I see you have some hollow bodies back there, too. Do you use any gig bags for them? Would you feel comfortable using reunion blue for them traveling? Thanks in advance!!

Hey Mori! I use a Reunion Blues for my 335 when I gig, but it's not as thick as a 175. I'm sure one of the acoustic Reunion Blues bags would be perfect for the 175 though! I'd order one and be prepared to return if you don't love it though as I can't speak from experience on this exact scenario!

Excellent video-- Thanks! I've used RB cases for my bass-guitars for years, and love them. Question: Any idea if a typical PRS guitar will fit the RB-Les Paul case you demonstrated? I've looked at A LOT of "gig-bags" lately and have yet to find one that will close without putting pressure on my guitars taller locking tuners-- this RB-LP case looks like the headstock will sit plenty low enough to avoid contact-- but the width of the body is my other concern. Watching your video makes me think it should fit without a problem; just wanted to ask you the question before ordering one online. Thanks again! ~M

Honestly I can't be sure! I never tried it with my PRS guitars when I had them and I don't have any of them anymore - I suspect you should be fine but unfortunately can't guarantee it!

The Mono vertigo bag is much more secure and also has incredible drop protection.
