What’s happening in this Premium Rush movie clip?
As Wilee reaches Chinatown, he is confronted by Monday, who is threatening to kill him. However, Vanessa (Dania Ramirez from She Hate Me and Heroes) arrives with a flash mob of messengers, dispatched by Raj (Aasif Mandvi from Halal in the Family), who delay Monday by hitting him numerous times, giving Wilee time to deliver the ticket to Sister Chen (Wai Ching Ho) just before the stroke of 7 pm. She calls the captain of her ship and tells him to allow Nima's (Jamie Chung from Eden) family aboard. Outside, Monday is confronted by Chinese and Italian mobsters and doesn't notice Sudoku Man (Kin Shing Wong), who shoots Monday in the back of his head with a silenced pistol. Dying and feeling faint, Monday tries to get in his car but dies before he can do so. Nima's mother calls her and confirms that she and Nima's son have gotten on the ship. Nima meets with Wilee and Vanessa while they are finally reunited.

What’s the Premium Rush movie about?
Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt from Inception, 10 Things I Hate About You and The Dark Knight Rises) is a fearless bicycle messenger in New York City. Everyday he dodges death. Indeed, between speeding cars, crazy cab drivers and cranky pedestrians, doing his job is not easy. But Wilee is one of the best at this job. He always delivers his packages on time, but today’s rush delivery could be his last. He is pursued by Bobby (Michael Shannon from Nocturnal Animals and Man of Steel), a crooked cop, who will do anything to get a mysterious package Wilee must deliver.
Wilee must pedal for his life and never look back.

This movie was pretty fun & lighthearted, but after watching this again, this is a pretty messed up execution. Imagine being alive only long enough to realize you've been shot in the head.

The way Detective Monday lived his life, it was more or less inevitable that he'd offend the wrong person and be killed for it. Not only was he a compulsive gambler in debt to criminals, but he was also bad-tempered and believed himself to be untouchable. Monday also made his own problems worse by refusing to rein himself in and he blamed others for HIS messes.

The part that brings me back to this is his slight expression of "what was that?!?!" on his face after the gunshot, before turning around to say, "what??" You see if the shot doesnt immediately kill you (ie coming in from the side or being too small of a bullet) your skull acts as a reverberation chamber, which with the now applied cavity, allows the bullet to literally "ring" your skull like a bell. People that have been shot in the head and have survived often say it is the loudest thing they ever heard in their life, not the gunshot, just the ringing in their head. So when he winces, it makes me think the ringing is happening, then turning to say "what??" Like he is trying to hear over the strange loud noise in his head. So yea, this death is pretty haunting

The part when the cop got shot in the head scared me so much brain damage is one of my great fears imagine just loosing all thought and you cant do anything to stop it im terrified of that I cant comprehend death i feel uneasy when i do its gust a great seen and a good movie

Well, essentially you have to imagine death as like being reverted to childhood perceptions. Your senses of time, reality, space, color and shapes, get numbed down to simplistic thought. I was in the ER 4 years ago for a nerve issue with my wisdom teeth (didnt know about it at the time, i just felt dizzy and passed out frequently) when the nurse applied the iv, she missed the vein in my elbow and tried again successfully....but when she thought she missed the first time, she actually punctured it then pulling out the iv for the 2nd try allowed my vein to bleed like a faucet. First i felt cold. Then i began to sweat and felt sick (like i had gotten so drunk i had the cold sweats), incredibly uncomfortable feeling. When the doctor walked in, he saw how pale i was and asked what my name was. I couldnt remember. Even if i did, i couldnt talk, so all i did was point to the elbow and he freaked out. Next thing i know i see faces, all the people moving me and messing with my arm, i closed my eyes. I just wanted them to stop messing with me and let me sleep. Just as i close my eyes i felt....good. like i was standing in the sunlight, and i could swear i could smell pine trees, like the woods where i grew up as a kid. In the span of 5 or 10 seconds to me, i woke up slowly, now rigged to oxygen and blood, my arm was wrapped up tight, and I felt like i had just woken up from a good nap. My mom was crying in the corner with relief, and thats when i looked at the clock, 4hrs had gone by. The doctor comes in again and the first thing this ass hat says is "we kinda lost you for a second there." Now im not sure if the pine trees thing was my form of heaven or just the delusions from the blood loss, but either way, my thought on death is that it is far more peaceful than life.

@@doofywilsons4182 😅 yea sorry, all I was trying to say was, death is easier than people think, and they shouldnt worry over it because it's part of life. Knocking on the door like that woke me up and changed my perspective of how Im living, it both gave me a sense of regret towards things I havent done yet and humbled my spirit that I got a glimpse of what is after this. It really is far more peaceful once you cross that line of mortal pain

In the beginning of the movie i thought that the Sodoku Man was an accountant. Hitmans dont appear to be a overweight small man. And his coldness doing it, just like he killed 100 people this way.

As terrible as he was, I never felt okay with the death of the detective. He was slimy, dirty, and awful, but he didn't do anything that would call for getting shot in the back of the head and left to die. Such a cold ending.
