thank you! I completely understand what you mean, this is a 24" wheel and the frame is designed to use 24" rims and a bmx hub. (110mm chain stay spacing) its the NS 08 Capital frame. umm as for more strain on the hub due to a bigger wheel, im sure there is. there has to be. its most likely why its blown now. *update- I was at Joyride 150 yesterday and the hub started grinding half way threw the time i was their. now, the hb is screwed. im going to be buying the odyssey antigram in February.

im not sure sounds like the pawls are grinding inside the hub, it rolls fine bearings works great but i think its the pawls because it happens when i back pedal too.

nice video!!! do you use 26'' wheel? if so, wouldnt it affect the rim's performance having a 26'' mtb running a bmx hub? i mean, my point is that, mtb hubs are wider, and bmx hubs are narrower, so chances are bmx hubs are more likely to gain less angle of the spokes that would make it weaker. you get my point? is it really okay to use a bmx hub on a mtb 26'' frame?

yeah my mate was gonna get but cause its hard to get in the uk he got a shadow for now lol he likes it cause its loud -_-, erm don't get a remix tho cause i know loads of people who broke the shell or axle try get the primo mix thats if you are gonna change but i'd deffenitly reconmmend the shadow

LOL noooo, if anything i took a little grease out. this is the second time iv takin it apart and as you could see there want much in there, just a light coat from factory. they do skip, give it time.

take off the driver and wipe the grease off the axle pawls and inner hub then ut the driver back on but dont do it cas it wrecks it even more

Yea. i have owned it for a long time so far. Have had skips regularly and over all wasnt worth all the money. Rather would have gone in the long run with a shadow conspiracy Javeline hub. Or a primo Remix hub.

This hub does good never slips but diddnt last long had mine for a month and the teeth got ate to shit I diddnt degrease or anything ethier

@bigboybmx69 Ummm well.. I may make a video on pros and cons of this hub because there is a big grey area when it comes to longevity and performance with this hub. IT DOES skip. Like most hubs but it's not such a bad thing. To answer your question with out going into pros and cons No. I don't believe this hub is worth what I payed. BUT to late now ;)

I took a TAD bit out of the hub after taking it apart the first time. your right, it stopped skipping but i will be completely honest, this hub in my experience is shit.. FOR 200.00$ this hub is not worth it AT ALL. I was hearing this grinding sound coming from it a few weeks after this video, it got to the point that any force on the wheel would cause it to grind and slow me down, IF I were you, i wouldnt buy it. im looking for a new hub already. i may make a video on the sound this hub makes.

Just degrease that son of a bitch. There will be almost no chance of skipping. Even profile says that cassette hubs are meant to be run dry. Note that i mean not COMPLETELY DRY. Put some lube underneath the pawls so that there is no friction.
