Summary: Levy accidentally sacs a bishop by premoving, then spends a full minute ranting about how God has chosen this Tuesday morning to smite him. After some divine intervention (and questionable moves from his opponent), he swipes a queen, forcing a resignation. Apparently, God works in mysterious but hilarious ways.

Bro has a beautiful wife and brilliant brain but so much petulance in his brain for no reason 😢 I really want to know why
@talonthehand3 сағат бұрын
Two reasons. One - when you’re passionate about something it hits you harder when it goes poorly. Could be anything from chess to always showing up on time to work. Two - he has loads of people whose hobby is telling him how much he sucks. That does a number on the brain.

This 3:10 in, and I can't watch more. This is actually a bit sad to watch. I don't feel too bad for Levy or anything (and he acknowledged he has a good life), but he seems miserable and like he absolutely does not want to be doing this. Also, sincerely, I am awful at chess, so this is a serious question. When he called it a "misclick", that is bs, right? Or is it still accurate to call a pre-move that backfires a "misclick". I think of a misclick as accidentally moving a piece to a square that you didn't mean to... I feel like choosing a pre-move on purpose is different. Lastly, I get that he is almost certainly not being literal, but it's hard to not take him serious when he sounds so serious. Had his opponent deliberately given away a piece out of pity, I don't think Levy would have his supposed compliments about it, nor would Levy do that himself, in the reverse situation. All around this video feels awkward to me. I'll wait for the next one.

It's strange that the premove is not canceled by the app in this situation. I mean it's literally another move that has another transcript: bf5, not bxf5. Bxf5 doesn't exist anymore and shouldn't be played. This has to be changed.
@vardhanshah28104 сағат бұрын
No then you wouldn't be able to do long capture chains or checkmates where you need to put pieces on squares where there would be a piece at this move Feature is working as intended
@최석현-w1c4 сағат бұрын
Then bullet chess wil be demolished
@jordanmungo9173 сағат бұрын
Doesn't really apply here, because the square wasn't even a legal move at first
@bananapeel35292 сағат бұрын
@@vardhanshah2810 maybe then make separate default settings for bullet/no increment blitz and other formats? or allow the user to control the premove logic? seems reasonable
@luketrottier6677Сағат бұрын
@@jordanmungo917 That's what I was thinking... I suck at chess, but I would think that it is pre-moving to a square already occupied by one of your pieces, based on ASSUMING it will become a valid move, after white moves. Which it did, so the pre-move occurred. Had white played A3 or something (just hypothetically), and Levy still occupied that square, the pre-move would cancel. It just so happens that white did not make the move Levy wanted, and it also enabled the pre-move to be a legal move. I guess you could configure it so that pre-move ONLY works if it results in a capture, but that really restrictive... Maybe just be careful...
