I haven’t tried the Sven. Fell in love with a silky. I’ve tried and love the x15. It makes ax work faster and easier than any other I’ve tried. That center of lance is right where I want it.

Thanks for the balanced review, the saw and axe combo is super smart. I just came from another video where a non-axe user was trialling the Fiskars X15 and complaining about the amount of energy it took to chop logs, he was trying to use the axe to do the same task that you did easily with a light weight saw to get the length of the logs right.

I just did a paracord wrap on the Sven's handle as well as drilled a hole in the wingnut and did a paracord lanyard (Blaze Orange) through it to keep from losing it!

Good demo. I thought it was funny that the area was so desolate, without any trees or bushes and you had a bunch of firewood.

I have the same saw, but I have a stacked leather grip Estwing shingler's hatchet. I think my combo the best.

While not a fan of plastic handled axes I have owned and carried a 21" Sven for around 35 years and just put a replacement blade on it this last year.

I'm just curious. Have you thought about the fact. That the ax your using has a hollow handle. And that the Saw your using is very narrow and thin. You know I'm saying this only for purposes of carrying it only. But is it possible that the Saw my fit in the handle of the ax ???

Nice review...have you tried silky saw? My silky would have cut through that bigger log in half the time. Love the axe, very underated and smart to bring it.
