Women can't do that since they miss about 5-12 days so if u do this, figure out an estimate of how many days u don't fast for, and make up those pages on other days

I also never finished quran during Ramadan, it felt embarrassing at first but these past few months I've been focusing not on how many ayat i read but I'm focusing on its meaning also. Since I've been doing this for months already my goals for this Ramadan is to read often even if it's only few ayat but also read the meaning. I found it more meaningful. I find what helps with goals and that is actually having a list of them and having them either on the wall or on the computer with a specific name. More or less putting them in places where I am actually going to look. When I use to make New Years goals just on the fly I never went through with them. When I started writing them down and putting them in places where I would notice I found it more effective. I have been doing it for 5 years. Most of the goals I end up completing subconsciously without realizing it most of the time. Maybe one or 2 don't get completed by the time next year rolls around.

Leena, thank you so much for this video. I’m at boarding school and there’s very few Muslims so I’ve really been struggling to set the Ramadan atmosphere for myself to make the most of the month without my family’s support, although I’m really trying. I can’t express how much this video has helped me, especially the “goals” part- it really focused on what Ramadan truly is about and how we should all focus on creating new, realistic habits this month that can be transferred to the rest of the year. A good trick on silverware placement. Fork has four letters. Left has four letters. So your fork goes on the left. Spoon has five letters. Right has five letters. So your spoon goes on the right. Knife has five letters so it also goes on the right. Not sure for a trick on this one but the knife goes in between the plate and spoon. Sharp edge facing away from plate.

What works for me is waking up for suhoor a little bit earlier, and using that time praying more and reading atleast a juz of the Quran until fajr. During the day I’ll try to cover another juz but that doesn’t usually work.

i find that listening to a recitation of your preferred speed, for me i always listen to mishary al afasy, and following along with the mushaf or even a translated version with the original arabic next to it really really helps when you are trying to read more in this month, it makes everything much easier and i hope that it can help you as well :))
