Wow! Not saying the previous times you’ve painted or taped your skates was bad in anyway but my gosh, the difference with the paint they sent you is extraordinary. They honestly look like they came out of the box that way. BTW, have you ever thought about doing an ASMR video of skating sounds? I’m not a big ASMR person, but I know a lot of people that love the sounds. I’m a big hockey fan so when I hear the skate sounds it makes me smile. ❤

Switching sides of the blades, spinning, jumping, etc. I can't remember who the skater was, but it was I wanna say mid 1990s she decided to do her program with no music & the blades sounded amazing. I love when you spin & ur ponytail flicks out it’s so funny to me 😂 you are a beautiful skater! I always wanted to ice skate but where I grew up in aus was very hot & humid! Never had skate rings. I remember trying to in my roller blades (the inline type) but I sprained my ankle so bad & mum told me to stop being stupid hahahaha! I was on my school track team & I was winning my races and I needed to focus on that.

Good job doing 2A on the 1st day with new boots! I love Edea because they're so easy to break in, compared to regular leather skates (plus no blisters!) So happy for you that you got sent your boots!! Saved you a fortune 👏🏻. John Wilson sent me blades the last time i got new boots, as they were bringing out a new blade i was desperate to try, so they very generously gave them to me to promote, which i gladly did! Hope your skates are comfy, ready for rehearsals. Rehearsals for a new show from scratch is exhausting, and sore on the old feet, but it sounds like you're all organised 😊💗. I did figure skating when I was a kid, and I was still doing it, not competition level but I can do spinns and some jumps, and after my brittle bones and chemo and knee problems I can't skate anymore. Mourning it. Really enjoying your vlogs

We used to bake our boots then wear them around the house in wool socks to break them in 😂 i always hated breaking in new boots but a fresh edge is just tres magnifique! I miss skating so much

I don't think I have stepped foot on the ice in 30 years. I grew up skating on lakes, ponds, and creeks. I never learned much other than moving forward and backward partly because I had no one to teach me, and partly because the ice was bumpy. It also had soft spots, so when you start to hear it grumble you had to turn around and get out of that area.

I think in some previous tours/ q&a Jordan has shown that they have a blade sharpening machine onboard. I think whomever takes on being the sharpener for the cast gets a small bonus stipend for doing so.

No way they'd last the contract, most people get them sharpened every 20-40 hours of skating or so. So for a pro, probably every couple of weeks to a month.

That’s why skaters have guards 3:21 so we can put them on the blades and walk around the rink with our skates on aka. Go to the bathroom and such
