There is so much to be impressed with in this video. Two woman obviously not afraid of hard work, digging holes, carrying stones, mixing mortor and building an oven. Yet manage to keep hands looking beautiful. I was also impressed that when you finished the oven you took time to decorate the top with a pattern, adding to the beauty of this video. Your garments also beautiful. I could not help but noticing how much the two woman in picture on the bottom of the water basen looked like you and your friend. On top of all of this you cook an incredible meal in such a traditional way celebrating your heritage and keeping the arts alive for another generation. Truly impressive.

He is also originally from Punjab India. I realised a while ago that I had the same surname as someone I met ( he was from Afghanistan). Delicious!! In Pakistan we have 2-3 tandoors in every neighbourhood. They work on Natural gas. Usually for a small fee if you take the marinated stuff to them, they will cook it for you in the tandoor. I will surly try your chicken recipe. Naan breads are common here so I suppose the taste for the bread will be same.

What a wonderful vid, As Boatbuilder and Maintenance man , a fixer . I was fascinated by the construction and process. I grill a lot , and love Tandoori Chicken . Have you ever heard of the term"Spatchcock Chicken"? it is used in grilling or baking , it means to just cut the backbone out , lay the Chicken/bird flat , season and grill .Since I don't have a "Tandoori oven " It is just another technique to use as you will . For instance I have used it when out hunting for Quail in the Appalachian Mountains in the USA.Thank you for the vid , I wish you well...
