I had edge bleed on my paint job. It was my first time doing it sooo... I think I'll try liquid mask next time. One of THE biggest things in doing this IS patience. I could have sealed my curved edges better but I got inpatient which cost me the cool factor a bit. thank goodness I had a ton of decals laying around lol!

A good solution to that, is to also get Gloss Clear Paint - preferably in the same Brand as your colored Paints... After taping up your lines, wherever you want them, spray a couple of coats of the Clear Paint. THAT WAY, if any Paint bleeds under the Tape... It's Clear, and will fill any TINY gaps in the Tape. Then, when you spray your first Color Coat, the Clear Paint already sealed the Tape, and your Lines will ALWAYS be crisp!!

Hello, i have really important question for you guys, i want to paint my body in X Maxx. Well, what should i do - first put the liquid mask and later transparent metalizer at first coat and color on it OR i can put on the full body transparent metalizer and after that make liquid mask?

Since you're paining from inside, then it doesn't matter what paint you use, as after you remove protective film it is going to look gloss, as lexan body is gloss. The only way to do it, would be to either use fine sandpaper and flatten the body from outside, to make it look matt, or use matt paint, but pain from outside.

It is standard Tamiya masking tape

Liquid mask works pretty good, but you need to apply a couple of layers (and it takes time).

It works AWESOME!! It does involve more time and work, and most liquid Masks are NOT Cheap....

For that reason we usually suggest pick up one color and a bunch of stickers. That way you achieve the same (custom looks etc), but much faster and with less frustration!
