You hit the nail on the head. Trucking has been tough the last couple of months. I was ready to give up. When my wife told me last week that I looked defeated it struck a nerve. I knew couldn't give up and I had to move forward.

I sure needed that uplift because it sure is hard out here. I’m pulling Reefer and these brokers and shippers suck butt. Nobody wants to work and customer service is out the window. Got to get your overhead cost down because the profits are not matching. Got to weather the storm!!! Thanks,

Pretty cool to see that you are from my hometown of Grover City/Beach out there doing what you gotta do to get by! Wonder if you know any of my family members that all live up in SLO County, the Sylvester and Vieira Families, you might if you have been living there for awhile. Anyhow, I enjoy watching you what your doing and will continue to now always watch your video's. You take care and be safe out there on the road or doing whatever it is you are doing at all times. Maybe we will get to meet up sometime if you are still around the area whenever I get up that way sometime.

Good stuff bro 👊 It’s coming. Can’t remember the model name, but the average income vs home mortgage price range ratio makes 2007 look like amateur hour. It is flawed tho because of the Dollar value, now vs. 07. But the amount of debt the average person is in is crazy. I’ve spent the past few months making moves and arranging things for it to hit. Now is the time to consolidate monthly expenses.

I thought it was funny you used the fast food restaurant as a reference, well not funny but so this has been my lowest point in 25 years in trucking everything went bad all at once, so story is I asked my daughter what she wanted before I went in just something off the value menu thing she said, so I go in and catch myself seeing what I can buy that’s affordable that’s inexpensive and it hit me after 25 years of killin myself on the road keeping my trucks moving I’m now trying to pinch pennies at Mcd’s the thought is if it’s this bad for me how bad is it for others, others that haven’t been able to accomplish what I have. God bless everyone and I hope we all come out of this down turn soon.

Well, what do you expect when folks live way beyond their means for years on end. When things tighten up and they start to feel the effects of their own bad decisions, they want to take their frustration out on everyone around em. As far as trucking goes, this is a correction not a downturn. A lot of folks in this business today got in this when rates were upside down with astronomical equipment payments, high home expense,ie,living beyond their means, but now when the market corrects it's bad news for a bunch of folks. They're in way over their head financially and otherwise, plus their upside down in home, equipment, automobiles at home, and tons of credit card debt from buying everything from meals to fuel and parts, repairs. In my opinion, you need to be able to save no less than 18-20% of every dollar you make to put back for a rainy day. It never fails to amaze me that some of the very guys that are going broke, have no idea how to help themselves such as slowing down. Driving 75-80 mph every where you go isn't conducive to savings, but what can you expect from steering wheel holders these days.

Most of y'all will be too young to remember this, but In the late 70's Jimmy Carter was president and things were really depressing and allot of Americans were very negative about America. Lots of things happened to turn it around, but the orchestrater of it all was Ronald Reagan. I joined the military because I love this country, and I wanted to serve under Reagan, which I did. We are in the same place again, and I believe Ron DeSantis could be our Reagan. Politics were not as nasty as they are now. DeSantis has time against him, its a long ways to go to the actual election. Watch for the democrats to really try to discredit him. If you can make it somehow till 2024-25 time frame, things financially should turn around.

You’re not wrong, man. I see it all the time too. Lots of negativity out here lately. Not just in our niche, but in general. Right now it’s ALL about the ability to adapt and overcome which might mean doing things you don’t WAHT to but it keeps you in the game, and if you can do that, you’re extremely successful right now. May not feel like it, lol, but that’s just how it is right now Keep it up! I’m selling my hood truck too and I just had someone on my channel tell me first your truck, now mine lol. But I’m still in trucking, just bought a fuel efficient truck is all. I’m sure you’ll thrive with this new business! Like every new venture, there’s a learning curve is all.
