I love how Anya is portrayed like a kid. She's bragging about what she can do even if it's like something little, she's introducing her stuffed animals, she shows guests everything in the house, she speaks very bluntly with little regard to everyone around her (like in the art museum, she's like "daddy, i can see her boobies"), she eats with her hands, she says she helps do things when it's more like just getting in the way, she vibes when she's watching her favorite show, she thinks having a spy and an assassin for parents would be the coolest thing ever.

@@Dell-ol6hb i dont think so, remember they went to an OPERA where everyone is thinking alot more then they actually talk, everyone has their opinion about what they are watching, some are probably bored and thinking about anything to be distracted and that had no impact on her, she actually slept through the whole thing and that was probably 5-10 times as many people as were shown on the political thingy but there it was suddenly an issue, and the writers went out of their way to show us that all the thoughts were overly negative and outright hostile, you COULD make the argument that it was also to much in the crowd on the street while looking for the thief but the difference was once again shown, the reason why she got overwhelmed there was because she was actually ACTIVELY using her ability where as the reaction to the political rally seemed more passive, id say its very likely that the more intense (in either way) the thoughts are the easier it is for her to pick up on them, abit like vollume, verry intense thoughts are practically yelled out at her to the point that she cant actually turn her abillity off where as normal thoughts in a calm aka not intense manner are hidden from her unless she actively uses her ability to listen for them BUT thats just my personal theory with some basic deduction thrown in there
@nomeka10512 жыл бұрын
@@raver377 i did not read the manga so i don't really know, but i honestly think she can activate the telepathy on and off, that's why she sparkles every time she uses it. because negative thoughts are everywhere and so for me it actually doesn't make sense that it's because of just "negative thoughts" alone. also think about it hearing everyone's thoughts in one go is not really great, either the voices you hear hostile or not. remember the test? she sparkled after activating the telepathy and hearing the other children worry about how hard the exams where. she continued writing after remembering what loid had thought her, and she doesn't sparkle anymore after that. so that is my conclusion, since 24/7 telepathy would make Anya not able to think properly, and can cause problems to her mental state. How can a child be ok after being able to hear everyone's minds 24/7? "her fainting was probably not because of the amount of thoughts but because of the insane amount of hostillity and negativity in the thoughts" is 3.5/10 theory for me, it just doesn't make any sense.

Also, she was already neglected lots of times because of her uniqueness (people are afraid of what they don't know or what they don't deem as normal). I think the candy scene with the grandma is probably just one of those "elderly people always carry candies for kids" or something along those lines 😂 Also, I'm guessing Loid and Yor probably didn't think having Anya sitting on the fence was dangerous because they probably think since they have good reflexes, they could catch her if she falls (Loid probably also thinks his arm around Anya's waist was enough to hold her in place or something) (they probably think this way due to the nature of their jobs, and the fact that they don't know what the so-called "normal" life truly is) This isn’t saying that I agree with what they did here, when I first saw the fence scene in the manga, this was how I reacted too. Honestly, because Loid and Yor are too much of an outlier compared to others, they're too focused on their mission/cover that they're just unintentionally unaware of anything else 😂 It gets funnier and more ridiculous from here on out!

It's nothing sus and it's like a kind gesture of repaying the kindness even if just small.

@arianaink100 Жыл бұрын
Grandparents use to carry candy because of old age and bad teeth. For a lot of elders once you get old you not only have issues with salivation/hunger/mouth maintenance/ but issues with breath smell. Having a candy jumpstarts alot of the dietary process before you actually eat, you get a sugar boost but you also start salivating/lining the esophagus to prevent choking. There were alot of candies back in the day made with perfumes/oils/medicines. So old people could potentially pull out a cough-drop with cocaine in it or pull out a ‘mint’ that had liquor or perfume to ease any mouth pain. After like fda updates candies are just candies and would have literally cost a penny a piece. Today you have to buy candy in bulk and not a lot of people remember why others found candy to be helpful, so you’re less likely to generally see it. (Halloween candy scares and poisonings or threats or contaminations all lead to candy being seen as ‘treat’/not a necessity, where 80 years ago a candy could have had medicine in it and was basically a home-remedy. (Vic’s vaporub is a granny’s favorite but bet your ass when she was a kid she could have gotten morphine in a skittle, still only 1/2 of those things is sold today so that’s all she can pass on info wise, she bought it as a kid and still can buy it as an adult and you as a kid or adult will probably be able to buy to too.)

I have watched this particular reaction more times than I can remember at this point. Today was another watch. I can't get over how none of you could talk without sounding like a scratched CD when Anya was sitting on that railing

2:55 oh my god sheeraaaaaaa 😶 Me reading the manga and waiting for Loid and Yor to give Anya a sibling. In my head this works Loid is really smart! He can catch things on air (even about Yor's brother 🤭), buuuuut when it comes to Anya and Yor he is pretty much oblivious in a way that I can't explain, but we see what we wanna see and we believe in what we wanna believe I guess 🤷🏻♀️

The end song artist is Hoshino Gen. He’s famous in Japan, and his songs are bangers!

Speaking of the setting, Tatsuya Endo really does his research and a lot of the fashion in this series is authentic 60s drip. Same goes for the furniture, appliances, cars, etc.

4:10 When Shera mentioned Cobra Kai about the "Strike First" thing, the manga translation actually has Yor saying "Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy." Nice catch.
