Sanfeliu's guitar looks and sounds like no other. Each string is able to emphasize the sound it is supposed to make in an amazing way. No sound imposes itself on the sound that follows it. This is a classical guitar at its best.,,Thank you for continuing to bring us great sounds.

I love the sound of the 1921 Sanfeliu guitar. The contrast between the upper and lower register is delightful. It seems to have a slightly smaller body than many others.

Yes, Jouyan... I agree with you re: the first guitar you played on (Stephan Hill), your arrangement of Soltane Ghalbha shines. (I've been playing your arrangement and find the section you referred to quite challenging... even though I play on a Torres FE 17a replica smaller scale (640mm) instrument!) And OMG-- there is something about the Enrique Sanfeliu that makes my heart sing! I can hear the ghosts of past master players from the moment you touch that instrument! One can NEVER replicate what nature and age does to/for an instrument.

That Segovia guitar is stunning

Finally someone points out how many guitars sound poorly on lower bass stings on higher part of fretboard. I've wondered if it's my ear, or strings, or my playing (always suspect). I guess I'll have to buy the Stephen Hill to find out.

Great guitars this week! I was impressed by the Sanfeliu, especially the bases, Wow! Of all of them I would pick the Stephen Hill because of the balance, tone, projection and a feeling of perfection!

Fine work describing the sound, Jouyan. The basses sound bassy, and the trebles sound trebly hahaha. Deep, profound even :) and what about the mids? Should I guess? I'm just joshing you man, seriously, great show.

The mids sounded very middly for my taste. 😁 I hope you enjoyed the presentation. Have a nice weekend!

I've not commented in some time because after hearing so many really good guitars there becomes such little separation of quality , but I truly love the Stephen Hill Segovia , it has beauty in looks equal to it's sound .

It's exactly how I also feel about this guitar!

Your piece sounded fab on the Hill, the Ravel didn't as it came over rather non-legato. However, the Ravel sounded much better on the Sanfeliu, the non-legato problem of the guitar (generally speaking) was much less of an issue. As always, much appreciate your work making these videos.

One of the first things to learn and it’s pretty easy- many great instructional videos on KZbin with just a simple search

The Hill sounds great but imo it’s Sanfeliu all the way. As with most great luthier built century old spruce tops, while you can improve on materials and construction, there is no shortcut for the natural maturing of a fine traditional instrument.

Great point on the "shortcut"! It's true
