Thank you so much for this very informative video. I am preparing for my first craft fair. I have been drawing for a long time but never felt I had what it took to sell my art. My friends have been encouraging me to get a website and start getting my work out. This craft fair came by and I decided to take the plunge and go for it. Hello! Just found your channel and I'm loving all the videos! I'm debating starting selling my art but am super intimidated by calculating and tracking sales tax for different states, cities, and districts. How do you guys handle sales tax when selling online or in person?

If you sell on an online marketplace like Etsy they will report the sales tax on your behalf, so it’s easier to start there. To sell on your own website like Shopify and in person you’ll need to remit sales tax on a schedule depending on how you make. So perhaps start with a marketplace first if you’re intimidated by the latter option.

Thanks for watching so many! As of now I don’t plan to release any new blanket designs or sizes :). It’s cotton muslin.
