THE DIAMOND SETTER

THE DIAMOND SETTER

Күн бұрын

TODAY I WANT TO SHARE A NEW DIAMOND SETTING VIDEO
of my circle layout for using just one stonesize.
I tried to capture a lot of details in this HOW TO STONESETTING VIDEO!
Last month the new JURA ART GRAVER arived.
It's really an awesome machine:
www.juratools.c...
Some of you asked for more informations, tipps & tricks:
www.amazon.com...
This is a book (currently only in german language) i wrote for everyone who has good setting experiences and want to start to work with the help of a microscope and a pneumatic engraving & stonesetting - system. A lot of tipps and tricks, 3 basic pavé-layouts and & tool recommendations.
It seems everybody wants to see videos about jewelers who put tons of diamonds into a baseball hat or a pair of shoes ( even if you're unable to walk with them ). Thats why i decides to make an (useless) 1cent - lucky coin. Feel free to comment.

Please Come Back And Do More Videos. They Are Very Good. I Know Recording And Editing Is A Lot Of Work, Plus Slowing You Down From Your Job. While Not Making A Dime Off The Videos. But It Is Very Educational For Others That May Be Interested In The Trade. Thanks And May God Bless You, In Jesus Name. Amen.

i try to make an comparison with the GraverMax. It is a different system, with longer strokes, what is perfect for brightcut and engraving.

Thank you very much - Self-taught, with the help of a lot of some videos and advices from other goldsmiths. Almost no one of the good setters passes on his knowledge ... After the years of work, I swore to pass on the knowledge. They are the key to success and everyone can benefit from it. I don't just want to motivate others, I also want to show how much work it really is. All I share is just my personal experience - there are many ways to do a setting job - mine is just one of them

@@thediamondsetter6158 that's awesome. Do you have any book recommendations?
@thediamondsetter6158

@@TimezUp23 Sadly the technology changed a LOT and the tools too. In earlier ages not a lot of people did the pre-cut . The grain was placed upwards. Now almost everything is pre-cut these days because it is easier and faster. Working with tungsten carbide gravers is different - the edges breaks more easily when pushing too hard because of its hardness. - but without a lot pressure, the use of an pneumatic system ( JURA / GRS / ENSET / LINDSAY etc.) its just a joy without wasting energy. For those reasons i can only recommend all books, that show the basic steps of how a certain setting "have" to look like. In German language theres is one called "JUWELLENFASSER-Codex" which i read - very good for basic understanding. There is also a book of mine (kindle) on amazon. cost around 12 bucks. (i added a link in the description). its written in german language. It's all about the most important questions ( which tools ) little tricks and layout templates that I have came across over the past few years of working - no basic infomations. i hope this may help you.
