Looks awesome Raelie! Love love the cover and your mix of papers. I can't seem to use lined pages with the lines running vertically either lol. 😄💚

Just found this today. Love making and watching peeps make books…. Love your calendar pages as I also use them (but ripped them up a bit)… Re the scrapbook papers.. I paint over it or use it on my Gel plate to print on, so many things to use it for and if you use transparent paint it lets some of the colours and patterns pop through. This heat is oppressive! Aaagh! Thanks for sharing.. Cheers

I love this journal cover so much. Its funny that you can use a book page with the text the wrong way and struggle with lined paper 😝 Interesting mix of papers, that is always fun to explore in a journal. 😄

I struggle with book pages too, believe me lol. I was saying to Bonny "I want to put some book pages in this journal, but they look soooo wrong." She said to me "Just do it!!" ... So I did! It still looks wrong to me, but they are sewn in now .. 😂 😂

I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of watching the making of this book. I've never done it before but I'm learning all I can watching your tutorials. When you made the spine, how do you know how much thread to use for the signatures? & what was the fabric or cheesecloth on either side of the spine for? 🤔 I've been racking my brain trying to figure it out. Thanks for helping me to learn & thanks so much for sharing 🥰💖☺️🌺

Hi there! The fabric on either side just helps attach the spine to the cover. It gives it a little bit more strength and it also looks lovely 🙂 After making a lot of journals in my time, I kind of know roughly how much thread I need. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
