Thanks for sharing your morning! After doing a lot of research about instant coffee, I have completely dumped the coffee making, both when traveling and at my house. The instant coffees these days are not what our parents had! (Freeze dried, yuck!) I have a small, foldable kettle and I make one cup of coffee every morning and that is all. I look forward to it everyday!

I’m a new subscriber to your channel & enjoying it so much. I’m 79 & have been a strict vegetarian for 38 years .... not vegan. I have never gone organic as the FDA oversight of organic food production & farm certification when I became a vegetarian 38 years ago was very iffy at best. I was all my produce in household vinegar which has a higher PH (more acidic) & rinse well. I have given a lot of consideration to “ the dirty dozen” but not yet made changes to organic for those items. I am working my way through all your videos to present & hope you will continue to share your grocery shopping & cooking/recipes with each if your episodes. Unless you're using it for something else, store your coffee scoop in the jar with the beans. It's always where you need it. One less thing to store separately in your coffee basket. Interesting breakfast recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lulu! I've been watching YT videos about van camping for about two years, but seeing your interview today about your switch to the (Ram) City van shared SO many tips that I thought were ingenious. Thanks! You might like to take a look at a teeny, but real workhorse, low amp electric cooker (TLOG on Amazon) that'll cook oatmeal and hard boil eggs in one batch; or rice/beans and steam veggies, for another meal. I love mine so much I pack it every time I head to Hawaii (son lives there) into my 21" suitcase, to cook my meals (sames lots of $$). One meal in that little gem only uses an amp. Another great gem is the HotLogic (also Amazon). Plugs into AC, it's a hot plate in an insulated bag. A frozen "Amy's" vegetarian meal cooks for about 1.5 hours while you're driving. Anyway...one tip traded for another. Pleasant journeys!!

weighing food before eating is nothing more complicated than portion control. if a portion of rice is 5 oz. and I would tend to overdo it and eat more, weighing the food helps keep portions correct. the study group is closed but perhaps a new group could be formed at some point. we'll see how that plays out!! Girl, I drank 40 + cups of coffee a day for so many years, with milk and sugar to keep me awake for my children, husband and years in college to stay awake, coffee was my addiction it help me get my degrees, soon after last graduation, doctor told me NO MORE CAFFEINE, I CRIED big time, no coffee 18 yrs. But, a few shirt years ago I started back up again 2 cups a day only and 1 teaspoon of coffee pot cup, no sugar but have to have my hazelnut cream and Hershey chocolate. Other wise I'm a very healthy eater, vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc. No jitters, love my coffee & veggies! Thank you for fun videos. Sister nomad here,2 yrs. praying for you, thank you...

I have bare metal walls and ceiling in here. the only condensation I have been experiencing in this van is on the ceiling just over my head when I wake up, it's not dripping, just moist. but I don't have insulation or wood on the walls, so I don't think anything would mold. anyway, we'll see how it goes!! What a delight you are! I have been trying to figure out how I can make my coffee while on the road. I love freshly ground beans. I also have a small, Mr. coffee and a percolator. From watching your video now I know I can use my Jackery to grind the beans and make the coffee. I love coffee!!!! At 77, it starts my day. For whatever it's worth. ... Always have a backup plan for your coffee. What will you do, if you can't recharge your Jackery for some reason? I have 4 cup drip coffee maker. Also have a percolator for times when the grid is down. It can be used on a stove or over a campfire. Even a Dakota firepit, if the need arises.

hi there!! yes, but just because the gatherings are centered around food, there is not rule that I need to be there and stay focused on food. while everybody else is focused on the food, I focus on the people or the beauty of where I am, I socialize, I laugh, I have a blast wherever I go. With my health my biggest worry when I travel is heat. The AC in my van does not work and I have a wiring issue with my front windows. I am going to awesome possum van works March 11 to see if he can diagnose and fix wiring issues and I plan on picking up a couple of screens for my two sliding doors. I am in a 2010 wheelchair dodge grand caravan. Safe Travels 😁🚐❤️👍🏻🐾

I love watching your videos. I have to agree that you have a lot of pieces for making coffee. I use a French press. I put my scoop with the beans since that is the only time I use it. I have used all different types of coffee contraptions & find the press to be the most space saving & safe. Oh, & after tweaking the recipe, my coffee is perfect. I, too had to reduce the strength to stop the jitters. And only have 1 cup compared to coffee all day and evening in days of yore! Hope to meet you someday in our travels. 😯 you know you could toast cheese on that coffee metal bottom heater by putting your metal pan that you we're eating out of on the coffee metal bottle after you have finish making coffee remove the glass coffee pot then put your cooking pan on the heated metal. Don't unplug the coffee maker put you a little butter in the pan and put you some bread in the pan and put a little slice of cheese or whatever in another slice of bread on top then put a lid on let It toast you have a nice cheese toast sandwich with a little natural preserve spread on the inside of the bread. Or you can steam your little yams or sweet potatoes. Oh by the way did your coffee maker warm up the place a little?😯
