Your experience in the woods reminds me of Victor E Frankl’s book “Man’s Search for Meaning”. On a cold morning while digging graves for the deceased inmates of the concentration camp he was in a bird landed close to him and begin to sing. He felt such joy in his heart from the sound and sight of the bird that he cried. He knew in that moment that there was a place so deep in his heart that nothing could disturb ❤. Nature reminds us of the order of things, I think. I derive so much love and support from your videos, I’m not sure I could ever convey it.

There is an amazing recording of blackbirds (I think) singing as the bombers flew over to Germany from England in WWII. The juxtaposition of life and death, hope and devastation...

Depression is so difficult. I am sending my love your way! Just as seasons shift, eventually so do our emotions. Sometimes the change is helpful and sometimes it isn’t, but the wave always settles. I hope you enjoy creating a cozy environment at home! I always find that helpful in getting me out of bed when my depression pops back in to say hello.

That experience in the wood…surprised by joy! I’ve had it. C.S. Lewis said it best, “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” I think we see the beauty and we know that other world is close by.

Being an elder [lady], I have the the freedom to be outside early in the mornings. It's now dark so much later, one tree is shedding its leaves, the change is just in the air. Your dress is my favorite color, it's beautiful on you. I need to tell you I purchased the area rug I saw in your former home. Due to my kitty being sick with a cancer, I stored it until he passed. It gave me a little lift to put it down, I really love it so thank you for the inspiration to splurge on something I'd never thought was so me until I saw it.

Paola, this video is so beautiful and brings upon such a deep sense of peace. The autumn decorations are perfect touches in your cottage. I love them. The feeling of love you felt is the energy Nature is exuding. Not everyone is aware of this; however it is always there. God's creations in Nature give us so much to be grateful for. It is important we take the time to appreciate what it offers us. Nature is a natural antidepressant. Your sweet, precious kitty cat looks so happy in his home. Love to you Paola. Thank you. Nature is a real conduit to a state of otherworldly euphoria. Here is my little tale. On good Friday this year, I rescued a very small hedge sparrow, which my cat was carrying in his mouth. The small female had only just begun to feather and I brought her indoors and fetching an old bird cage from the shed I made her comfortable. Over the next few weeks I fed her very small pieces of kitten food, cut up and offered via a small set of tweezers, which she took to very quickly. After two weeks she stopped eating the meat and we started on three different types of birdseed. The cage also has two water dishes and a birdbath. After two months I released the fully feathered little bird into my back garden where she'd been found. Next morning I was up early to enjoy the morning sun and to my surprise the little bird was sitting on the window ledge. I carefully opened both windows and to my utter astonishment she flew inside. After relaying the story to our vet, she said that the little bird has formed attachment. I have now purchased a large six foot cage which sits close to the window as the little bird loves to watch the world go by. She still fly's out every now and then but always returns to the cage. I have named her woody and she sings beautifully. My research has indicated a life expectancy of three years in the wild (harsh winter/predators) and up to twelve years in captivity. We are now the best of friends. Here ends the lesson, never underestimate the natural world. Franklin x

Hi Paola, what a wonderful experience. I’ve had feelings that may be similar, when out in nature. It’s soul soothing. I’m so glad that you left the pine cones where they were, but I figured that you would. You are a special kind of person and I hope that you take your time to fully heal. I love your decorations and I’m inspired to go see if the drought left me some interesting things to put up in my house. Thank you for sharing. You always make my day. Hugs, Julie 🥰

I just had a wonderful thought. At some point, you're going to have children. When they are older, they will have these amazing videos of their mom, who she was, how she believed. Then when you are past, your great great grandchildren can look back and say... this was my ancestor who i came from. During such troubling times she found peace and made a good life. She was strong and kind. 🥰🤗

OMG, the squirrels cuss at me so strenuously that they sometimes sound like dogs barking as I go on my in-town nature walks. You'd think I was deep in the woods even though I'm only a block from a busy street.

Paola, it is so nice to see you are taking care of yourself. I will share my Weird Moment(tm) to see if this makes you smile. This was quite a few years back but it made such an impression I will always remember it. I was visiting Sagres in my home country of Portugal, and there is a big cape with a rugged and lovely landscape that we always visit. In that place, there is a huge sundial made of stones on the ground, and I didn't notice that you were not supposed to walk inside the big circle, in my defense I was very young and my head was in the clouds. So I went to the center and I looked at the stone there and it has a little hole right in the middle. I don't know why but I took my bottle of water and poured water into it and it slowly bubbled. In that unremarkable moment, I felt like the stone breathed... and I had the same kind of feeling you just described. It is a one-of-a-kind thing, I am happy you felt it too.

Sister❤, How can someone live alone yet happy? This is the primary question each of us deals with when we think about you. You are such an exceptional person out there, who is challenging the world order. Despite suffering from a disease, you have never allowed it to impact your life in any way. I always feel peace and serenity when I look at your face. I got healing vibes from you. Love and regards from India ❤

I think one of the main secrets to living alone and being happy is accepting who and what we really are, instead of letting society dictate how we need to be in order to be accepted. When we come to know ourselves in that level of quiet solitude, and subsequently accept ourselves as we are, we find we do not need the things society says we "should" need. My BFF Heidi calls it going into "hermit mode." And too many people don't yet understand how important this "mode" is. Even us introverts get confused and shamed for being those natural hermits, which is incredibly sad. We get called "antisocial," as if being away from people as much as our energies need to be is a bad thing. We don't want to not have friends, career or a mate. We just need to be able to find such people and define career success on our terms. Some of us, like Paola, need that deep retreat in order to cleanse ourselves, heal ourselves and remember that it's okay to say "no" to what we've been taught to do, taught to want, and instead go within to listen to what we truly want and need, in order to find that true Divine Contentment. I realize this reply was long, but perhaps others reading it will understand their inner question that you posed: "How can someone live alone and be happy." Blessings to all as we head into autumn. 🙏😁

Forgive me if I didn’t understand the question. But if implying that Paola lives alone, she does not. She is a newlywed and lives with her husband. Though must admit she is happy in whatever stage she is in. ❤

@@atuldwivedi3959 Nadege didn't write that reply about introverts -- I did. 😅 But yes, Paola is a newlywed. And it's okay if you didn't know that. I responded with my reply as I did because not everyone reading it is going to be where Paola is, in terms of 'love life.' Many introverts despair of meeting anyone to love, just because of how they're "expected" to meet someone: go to a bar or other loud place that doesn't suit them at all. That's why learning to love and accept yourself as you are, before sending those 'I wanna meet someone special' vibes out there, is so important. 😊🙏

Oh, Paola, my breath caught when you climbed on the stool! Oh, please don't fall! No broken bones please. From someone who knows what that feels like. Maybe a cute little step stool instead? This was a lovely video, once again. Thank you for letting us visit with you. Hugs. Diane

Om is what comes to mind when you describe your experience. That ultimate awareness and sensitivity to the interconnectedness of the Self and the world around you. A feeling of awe, belonging and peace within your soul, because at that moment you see the world as it truly is; perfect in every moment. Tapping into that Source energy is deeply healing. I've found that meditation is a good way to open yourself up to this state of being. 💚
