Loving the Christmas videos, making me get organised. My kids are obsessed with watching mystery boxes on KZbin, so I’m making them one each for Christmas. Got red wrapping paper, and bought some question mark stickers off eBay, and will decorate plain boxes I will save from deliveries

My boys went through the Smyth's catalogue as soon as it landed through the door lol. From this I created a list of everything they had circled ...and it's given me ample time to source most of those things Preloved from FB marketplace and eBay :) xxx

I start by making a list of what we need. In America, we have two holidays to prepare for, Thanksgiving and Christmas. So I make list of all the food and drink items and I baby a little each week. I also do consumable hamper gifts for adults. I pick up speciality items that let. Like spreads, jams, butter, spices sauces, and chutneys. Obviously I buy the cheeses and meats and breads at the last minute. I already placed my order for confections and chocolate bombs for hampers and my own family. I buy advent calendars ahead of time.

I’m one of the children in my family but I’m the one who organizes everything. My immediate family, my grandparents and my aunt always spend Christmas Eve, day and Boxing Day at my grandparents house but often some of my Scottish cousins come down for lunch on Christmas Day itself.

Thanks for helping us plan to Lara. It really just pays to get into the Christmas planning mind-set early. This year I'm saving my Nectar points to buy bottles of 'Taste the Difference' prosecco plus champagne truffles for my six girlfriends. My family has sadly reduced in size over this past year but I'll do a Santa sock with a few small, nice gifts for my family members.

love me some christmas. working hard on my ornaments to sell at our artisan christmas fair. That is christmas to me. please keep me informed about the state of things in the UK. I usually pop over to London for christmas cheer and magzines after I am done with my 16 days market. When my son was little I bought used toys at charity shops and flea markets. When you need 24 gifts for calendar gifts it is easier on the wallet to spend 50 p or a pound each and it is a better quality than the cheap crap the shops here sell for that purpose. And it was new and exciting for him.

It’s a little box of things for the day before Christmas, so we usually do a little activity to keep them busy while we’re cooking and prepping and then we also put in some hot chocolate for movie night, some new pjs and a bath bomb or something. Just something to get them excited but things they will use xx
