I so appreciate you sharing your knowledge! I don't make wax melts (just soap for my family) but find it interesting and very informative in a business sense. 🙂

Hi Tammie, I love watching your videos it makes me feel like I'm there with you so I don't mind the longer videos. Have a great weekend, coming to you from sunny Trinidad & Tobago, well it's actually a raining today. Such pretty wax melts.

Great idea to batch your wax melt making and get it all done for the year. I hadn't thought of that approach before. A little painful in the short term but I bet you'll be a little more relaxed when the holiday season comes around 😉

I hope so LOL! it was a tough 4 days but I think you are right, this fall will be much less stressful. I still have not bought more wax but I don't know how long I can hold out 😂 there are just those few scents I want to have in stock - but honestly I probably have more than enough right now. The economy is a killer right now.💕

Hi Tammy, thanks for sharing, I was just listening while gardening but decided to watch again so i could see what all the action was LOL glad i did, i really like the idea of the sheet tray! So economical! I've been gathering supplies to make wax melts but i don't have the packaging for the little molds and they are so cute! Well you've given me lots of ideas! Thanks again for sharing! Hope you have a great week!

Good Morning Melissa!! Aw, thanks for watching 🤗 they are really so cute and they certainly have helped my sales in wax melts. Actually by quite a bit. They draw people in to my space so much more than the clam shells did. Although the clam shells were easily identifiable where people don't know what these are at first LOL Then I made a mistake in thinking I would increase my price to $6 to help with the cost and labor - then I decided to put 3 ounces in the bags (from 2.5)...so in the end the cost per ounce stayed the same 😂 so no increase in profit for me. I have mentioned my math skills are very much lacking have I not? 😆

Well you made just as much as I did. I did trees, acorns, leaves, pumpkins, gingerbreadmen, donuts, and snowflakes. My shoulder and arm hurt so bad. But you did awesome.❤
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 ай бұрын
oh gosh Chely! It is so much work isn't it!?!? I love your idea of acorns! How fun is that! I have snowflakes but only 2 small molds I am only going to do those shapes if I can get at least 6-8 molds to make it go faster. They really don't cost too much but I hate paying for a one time use item and then storing them afterward...but you are making me want them 😂😂😂💕💕💕

Tammy, ok guess what I bought my smaller molds on temu, and now they have larger molds with lots of cavities. I store them in a large bin on one of my shelves.

Hello Tammy, that was a lot of work my friend. They are gorgeous and I am sure they smell amazing. The trays will be great and maybe marble effects with some glitter on top. Don’t work so hard. Prices are crazy and we need to deal with a lot of things to make sales.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 ай бұрын
Yes they are Clivia! You are right, I need to make better decisions with my time. That weekend sure taught me that. I don't mind the half spheres so much just because I have so many molds - that really helps so much. Those prices are getting out of hand - I'm trying not to raise prices but I don't know how much longer I can hold out. I just saw my 10 pounds of cocoa butter for over $300 - last year it was $75 😮😩

They all look so cute! Are they selling well? I have the gingerbread, trees, dots, donuts & pumpkin molds. I haven’t tried to sell them for a few years. Great video!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique3 ай бұрын
HI Hilary! Thanks so much! yes! They are selling much better than the clams were. Melts have never been a really hot seller for me but people are just more drawn to the shapes. They tend to be more interested in purchasing.

I tried switching to molds for my wax melts, bought the pancake funnel and molds. No matter what I tried I couldn’t control the flow from the funnel and made a huge mess. Long story short, I went right back to clamshells 😂

Hi Tammy, Just curious why use a shape mold (gingerbread, tree) vs. a snap bar mold? I’ve tried both, and bark, and struggle with how best to package them. Clamshell is ok but more plastic, which is less popular (not eco friendly) these days. Is it a customer base preference? Would love your input. Thanks!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 ай бұрын
Good Morning! I started with the snap bars, and I packaged them in little plastic sleeves I have seen others use. they did not sell well at all for me. So I tried the small shapes and they did sell. That's when I decided to use the bags and just put all my shapes in them. I will say the cute shapes brings customers in to my space much more (my sales certainly have increased since I started using them). They are cute and customers like to look and smell them and almost interact more with the shapes. That being said, they don't buy for the shapes, they buy for the scent. So the small shapes don't sell better than the broken snap bars or brittle shapes do, that is def scent driven. If I was to give up the little pieces I would still package them in the bags and hang them at craft shows. But I do think I will keep the small shapes, but limit them significantly and have at least 6 to 12 molds each (they are only a 1/4 sheet pan size- so 2 will fit my half sheets). But that takes storage space so have to consider that too. goodness -be careful what you ask I may write a book! 😂😂😂

Hi Tammy! I only make wax things for my household. Too much liability and too many stupid people in the world. 😂 However, these things are helpful even doing small batches of things.😊
