Do you have a tv? They have TV’s on sale at walmart. I saw a 55” tv for a little over 200.00. They have all different sizes and sizes. You can’t beat the price!! I use antenna that I put by the window and get several channels!!I don’t have internet and can’t afford the cable bill.

Oh Mama, I can relate to the 10th degree. I live in Massachusetts, I knew from a young age that my son had Autism. He was approved for so many things here - so quickly it was amazing. I don't know your story very well, but I was curious as to why weren't some of these things put into play when he was younger? I mean this in the most heart felt way, coming from experience. Everyone has their reasons and states are so different but I am so sad to see you and your family go through this. My son was high(er) functioning and things were still so easy to access for him (I know for a fact that FL is a rough state to get any real results for kids, young adults and adults with any sort of developmental disabilities to get help. You are. an amazing woman, just remember when all is said and done, please take some time to yourself and breathe. It's okay to have you time, you do you when opportunity arises. XO

Yeah, my cats and dogs did not all react the same to various situations. Although my most recent cats come when I call. But all dogs like a cozy cave and Merlin probably I think so that is a safe space if anybody does get loud or upsetting especially to a dog who doesn’t necessarily fully understand what’s going on. Then again, they understand more than we think sometimes. But when his mom calls him Of course he’s coming. 😊

MM, It sounds like you don't have an SSI lawyer to me. You REALLY need to get one. You don't pay them unless you win. And it's a very small percentage that you pay them if you do win. The first checks you get from SSI will be RETROACTIVE to the day you applied for it, even if you tried to apply for it when he was younger.Those checks should go back that many years. Yes, this is true and this is for any state. This is a FEDERAL thing, not a state thing. If you don't have a lawyer PLEASE get a lawyer specializing in SSI.

I hope everything works out. SSi disability is so hard to get in Florida. My daughter tried 4 times went to court the judge approved then she gets a letter saying not enough Documation. We gave up Anyway I just hope it works for you guys
