Since being directed to you channel by Johannes, I have now watched all 38 videos in the last 7 days. It has been like a slow motion time lapse! It's been a wonderful journey to see how you have grown together as a couple. It's also been wonderful to see the animals joining the homestead, life, death and so many memories. God bless you all as you await the birth of your first daughter. X❤

I too was pointed to the channel by Johannes having been watching Maarten building his cabin in Italy. I love the peace, tranquillity and artistry of these videos and feel a small part of your lives growing with your homestead. Now I have to wait for the next chapter and what the new year will bring.

I wonder how many of us did come over because of Fr. Johannes suggestion? What a lovely journey it has been with you two! Your eye for beauty in so many forms is a true gift and blessing. May you know grace in these coming days as life gets upended by this new little baby girl. Grace with each other. Grace with yourselves. Grace with your little one. And may you have the blessing of good sleep - when you can get it :)

I am so grateful to Padre Johannes for mentioning your channel. Such a delight to watch your videos. Everything you two touch turns into beauty> There is a Magic Touch to all you do and create which warms my heart. God bless you all three, and all the animals and trees and plants and every little earthworm and all the crystal snowflakes which cover your domain. I wish you long life and honey in the heart!

Hello from Texas! I found your channel under gardening a few days ago! I’m a 64 old grandma and gardener and chickens , rabbits most of my life! A joy to watch 2 gentle souls and soon to be parents allowing us all a little peak into your sweet artistic, hard working lives! Thank you!

I did the same as Reuben, and enjoyed watching slowly all 38 videos. My deep respect for your journey and best wishes for your future. I miss Laura speaking directly to the camara in her paused way, as she did in the first part of the videos until she decided to only use her voice in off. These moments had a special beauty and presence, and I would wish that she reconsideres her decision... :)

Discovered your channel from Father Johannes, what a great channel it is! Have binge-watched all your videos over 3 days. You have a beautiful presentation style. You have both been very busy developing your homestead. It is just amazing how much you have done, the hard work is slowly coming to fruition. Your artwork is dynamic, so much to find within the prints. The more you look into them the more you see! It is no wonder it takes you so long to complete the initial carving. I look forward to your next video, maybe baby will have arrived maybe, and we are all sitting and waiting for her arrival! Take care of yourself, get all the rest you can, when she arrives the first weeks are somewhat chaotic. Whilst you get to know each other, the weeks of discovery are very precious they can't be rushed. Go at your own pace, we will all still be waiting to share your joy. The very best of new arrivals to your homestead. ❤️

Such peaceful loveliness and creativity. What a precious addition is coming to your lives. The baby bed is beautiful. But I'm concerned about the larger gaps between the posts. There are strict regulations about the maximum width of those gaps, for babies have gotten their heads through them with tragic consequences. Also, the sides are very low, and it will only be a very few months before your baby can roll over them and onto the floor. It is hard to imagine just how active and strong they become in such a short time, and how quickly unforeseen accidents can occur. I wish you all the best in this new adventure, the best time of your lives!

Hi! Watching your videos really inspire me to paint and be creative, they are truly lovley! Also. I found baby-grow/development apps useful, both pre and post birth. They helped me to be calm, knowing if/that my baby was on track, and knowing whats the next step. For example when to expect her to be able to move (so I could child proof) or other development stuff. But more than anything I learned to observe and trust my gut feeling. Standardized advice isn't always applicable/true. Good luck!

A wonderful new year of life to you! You certainly don't have as much snow as you had last year! Here in B.C. Canada,we had a green Christmas which doesn't bode well for our snowpack! The crib is lovely but I too am worried about the back..the dowels are too far apart...they have be closer together...especially the 3 centre ones...all of them infact. Just worried about your little one. And also the pond outside would be a danger when it can walk.
@kathrynletchford511411 ай бұрын
As a goat breeder, I must day, I don't like the look of that hay. It looks like it is old and quite possibly mouldy. That is not good for pregnant goats. Also, you may like to try, putting some Apple Cider Vinegar, in your goats water. Do your goats have access to minerals? Either in a block, or loose..?
@pmlm157111 ай бұрын
About the hay, in the previous video they mentioned how hard it was at the time to source hay and they had found this old bale, bad on the outside, but still good in the center. Yes, it would have been good to find a whole good bale.
@The.Land.of.Slow.Living11 ай бұрын
Yes we're using mosty hay from two summers back =( Still okay on the inside, but I can imagine lower in nutrients because it's older. They are eating a lot of it, and one third of the bale is ony good for composting. They get minerals , both loose and block. And sometimes they go out to nibble on some mosses or branches. I will look into the apple cider vinegar! Thanks!

Sorry about your goat. The hay that you are feeding them is very very toxic. It is black because there is a huge amount of mould in it. I understand the difficulty in getting hay myself but have never seen hay so bad. This is also toxic for you but you can wear a mask and wash your hands after handling it. Your hay should feel loose and look a very light brown or green. I hope this helps and I understand how difficult it might be to replace the hay. But it will be worth it. Good luck ❤❤

The hay you saw in the video didn't had it's outer layer removed yet! Inside they look like normal hay :)
