Susan gets by cause everyone likes her (except those who are outsiders)
@fcastrotero9 ай бұрын
another possibility is that, considering the way Alastor talks about Rosie, she keeps everyone in line, and sort of forces them to be polite "or else". Alastor did say that Cannibal Town was "surprisingly nice" thanks to Rosie, and he described her as "the most dangerous Overlord this side of the Pentagram". So, chances are Rosie manages to control them with a mix of charisma, good leadership skills, and some good-old Overlord intimidation. Also, Rosie did say that she couldn't just order them to follow anyone else in battle, meaning she is not like Alastor, who can (and wants to) make people do his beading no-matter if they want to or not. So chances are that the cannibals follow her because she is a good leader who gets them food and safety, and in exchange, they live and act the way she decides: being polite and dressing and acting like it's 1910

Her secret though became something that could possibly ruin their relationship, and ruin their chance at getting the help they need. Vaggie still didn't tell her about it. So yes lying by omission is a thing, Vaggie doesn't owe Charlie an explanation about everything, but Charlie wouldn't have felt lied to if Vaggie had told her rather than someone else. Most importantly I think the fact Charlie recognizes that Vaggie was just having a hard time telling her, and made a mistake is a good thing.
