Can we take a moment to appreciate how much Angel Dust has grown as a person? The way he protects Niffty and stood up to Val. He's come a long way from his pilot self. I'm proud of our Spider boy. Also, the way Charlie and Emily reprise the refrain of "Hell Is Forever." With new lyrics that call out Sera and Adam's hypocrisy is just glorious. "You Didn't Know" as a whole is amazing, but that part hit's especially hard.

I don't get why people assume Christianity exists in this series. The Angels are said to be the ones who created Adam, and there doesn't seem to be any clear understanding for what it takes to get into heaven. Two major aspects of Christianity have been completely omitted from the series, and yet, every other comment still makes reference to it as if it's canon.

This episode is very honest. The whole show is very emotionally honest and raw, but this one in particular is very honest about what it's like growing up in a fundie family and believing that heaven and hell are real. I feel every moment in that "courtroom" when the angels are doing everything they can to justify the existence of hell and the inability for people to change. It's what fundies absolutely do when they're trying to justify the existence of hell to themselves.

In the original story Lilith was made before eve, she was made at the same time and with the same materials as Adam. Her downfall came when she wouldn't submit to Adam, when she questioned why she should be subservient to him when they were made equals Adam when crying to daddy. And then to placate the weepy boy his daddy made Eve, using part of Adams body to try and guarantee that not only would she be lesser than him but also to remove any chance of her trying to rebel like Lilith did. That's why Adam in this is a sexist pig, because the reality is he only loved Eve because she kissed his ass and did whatever he said without question.

@@HolyRamenKing It's more the fact that women dating women is ALWAYS being erased by people saying 'oh they're just good friends'. Like it's a pattern that's happened for centuries. So many years of gay women being erased by people downplaying it as 'just friends'. Women who were basically married to each other and historians going 'ah look at them. They're roommates' when they're clearly in a relationship. So constantly referring to Charlie and Vaggie as friends or best friends but NEVER as girlfriends when it's not even subtextual, it's stated as fact in canon that they're dating is erasing their relationship and downplaying it. Repeatedly in the show, Charlie calls Vaggie her girlfriend and Vaggie calls Charlie her partner and refers to herself as Charlie's partner. Charlie and Vaggie do not refer to each other as their best friend, but as their girlfriend and partner. These two NEVER refer to them as girlfriends and only as friends, that's downplaying and misstating their relationship. If it was a mixture of calling them friends, best friends, and girlfriends, nobody would care. But they're blatantly NOT calling them girlfriends and only calling them friends.

Hey so you're guys and presumably straight (sorry if my gaydar is off) so you might not know, but the reason people are so up in arms in these comments about you calling Vaggie and Charlie friends is because historically a lot of lesbian relationships and people have been erased by calling them just good friends. It's a form of erasure and takes away the queer representation. So we're a little sensitive to it. Also, Charlie's mum is Lilith, not Eve, Eve was Adam's second wife after Lilith. And no, you haven't seen her face yet, just silhouettes.
