Nice job, Josh, great solution. I noticed the chickens and ducks inspected your work ... but the donkeys are the official inspectors

You are doing well Josh, but I think you should insert the cable into the PVC pipe before covering the cable in the ground for longer cable usage.

Good job man. I can’t stand unfreezing water in the winter. Maybe a timer might be useful so you can save some money on the electric bill.

Thanks for watching! On the electricity, I probably should have mentioned this in the video but the heaters only turn on below freezing, they have their own thermostat

Joshua Reynolds what kind are they and can you get them on amazon?

Impressive! I need to stop making excuses and run electric down to my bottom pasture where the chickens are. Are you going to put lights on your hens so they lay all winter?
@joshuareynolds52195 жыл бұрын
I definitely recommend running electric to your chickens, it's really nice to not have to chop through ice! We haven't setup lights so far, but we now have electricity everywhere so that could be an option.

maybe to save some power you could add a timer so it turns on once an hour and not 24/7
@joshuareynolds52195 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea, but actually the heaters have a thermostat so they only turn on when the temperature is at freezing.
