Thanks for this video explaining your detail making the assembly less daunting for the customer from the video I can see the barrel fits the wood consistently thru out the length, great workmanship! Remarkable in today's world for sure.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to make a video. I bought one of your Southern Mountain Rifle kits and put it together. The wood has much more striping than I was expecting from the cheapest grade and the level of machining and fit was outstanding. Compared to the supply house kits your product would be a bargain at twice the price.

I have been extremely pleased with the SMR you sent me. The hardest part for me thus far was fitting the butt plate as I did not have transfer color to do that. A couple swipes of the file, eye-balling it, and then some more swipes of the file and again eye-balling, etc... and on Thursday, May 27th, I had that finished. Now I am on to taking it all apart, trying to polish the metal for a finish and then on to the stock finishing. Still waiting on some gouges to come in the mail for simple lines on the cheek rest and lower butt and I can put the finish on the stock. People who have viewed the gun so far have been in awe of it. I really have to hand it to you and thank you for this great kit gun. I may be a lawyer (hint as to who I am) but words fail me to give adequate description to this wonderful kit. To people who read this, if you are thinking of getting a kit to build, get a Jim Kibler Flintlock. It will be the best money you have ever spent on yourself.
