I've been a Journeyman Tool, Die, Gage and Fixture Maker since 1982, and I've got to say, that your methodology of utilizing modern machining processes to bring 17th century firearms building into the 21st century is nothing short of amazing! Your attention to detail, using your machining expertise with your custom flintlock expertise really sets your product up as the example of the pursuit of perfection. Well done!

All I can say is thank you for machining these butt plates. I spent about an hour cleaning up a machined woodsrunner butt plate. Very easy to clean up and took little more than some fine files and fine sand paper

When I built my Southern Mountain rifle, shaping and fitting the butt plate was by far the most pain-in-the-butt, frustrating part of the project. I'm so happy to know I won't have to go through that again when I put together my Woodsrunner...

Thanks for taking us through the whole process. You guys are truly revolutionizing the muzzleloader kit industry, making it possible, through modern fabrication technology, for a novice to actually build a historically correct colonial arm with minimal skills and tools. I wish this sort of kit was around when I built my first muzzleloader.

After watch several of Your videos I will be working towards purchasing one of Your Rifle kits, at near 70 I have wanted a flintlock long gun for many years, there was one I saw at the family farm years ago and I don't know where it went, I wished I could have had it, as it was something my grandfather would have used at some time in his life. Thank You for your videos highlighting your products and all the thought into machining and creating your kits....Thank You

I am just getting into the world of flintlocks. I was pleasantly surprised to find out someone was building kits so close to me. I'm just over in Lisbon. Looking forward to picking up a kit this year.

I can say for sure that I will be buying this piece in the near future! I love my mountain rifle in .40 caliber, but ever time I look at it I see something I did wrong, this one seems very beginner friendly for sure.

Looks so nice almost better than the one I did for my Colonial. I’m wondering if you will take this process to the trigger guard? That was a real time consuming part of my build and I never got it to look like I thought it should. So proud to have a Kibler gun. I tell people they are so well made you really don’t build it you really just assemble it.

I'm hoping it won't take too much longer for you to move forward in time to period rifles that had percussion cap locks. I'm building a cheaper kit and experimenting with nickel plate, trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear really. So many little and big problems that just can't be corrected. I really want something nice I can pass down to step son or perhaps grand child. I built an old CVA kit decades ago when I was about 13, and spent a teenager's amount of attention to detail, probably going to keep it at that stage. Now building a new kit and finding that modern times have made the kits even lower quality in my current price range. Still going to try and make this one nice, but know it won't be fantastic. I need a better quality kit from the start, and you seem to provide that (and info on building), so I eventually want one of your kits.

@@kiblerjim I did finish my cheap kit, it turned out OK and shoots pretty well so far. I taught my self a few things about nickel plating and gave me more practice with the wood work. That said, it makes me want to build something really nice. With the difficulty of finding caps, I'm rethinking maybe add a flint to my collection in either 45 or 50 to use common ammo to my other two rifles. Or maybe down in the 30 cal range for smaller stuff. Also thinking smooth bore in the 20 gauge size for shot or patched ball. Choices...
