I don't know what it is, but I'm so drawn to rural China.. All of China to be honest, but in particular, rural.. There's something so comforting about it ❤️... I can see the amount of hard work goes into daily living, but this is something that the vast majority of the world seems to have lost the ability or the willingness to do, and we no longer have that amazing sense of achievement... I'm beyond excited to experience China for myself ❤️

KellyS74 You should go there, at least once. I have been going there every year since 2008 to teach at a university in a big city, but always find enough time to visit and explore rural areas. It is an amazing country, but often not easy to understand.

Hello from Uruguay! It’s nice to see you healthy, working , when will you be able to travel a little or start your job? We’ve heard the situation with the virus is better now in China. Your videos are a pleasure to watch, anything you show us about China is beautiful. I admire your peaceful life, when I was your age I lived a busy life in a city, stress, traffic, people rushing from one place to another...we didn’t have time to enjoy family life. Your life is much richer from the human point of view, you live more connected to your real essence . Blessings to all of you! Anabel

6:55 That looks like a mosque in the distance. Is there a sizeable Hui community in/near your village? Also, it's quite amazing that agriculture is possible in Qinghai, the soil quality really is poorer compared to more fertile parts of China. You can see why Qinghai is beyond the traditional heartlands of Han China, a sort of borderland zone between sedentary agriculturists and nomadic herdsmen.

Chinese in all corners of this planet work hard. People say a lot of bad things about Chinese , say they are rude, “hurry up order and pay”. But they never know most chinese once they step into a working station they will be there the entire day. Most other people only work 6-8hrs, chinese work 10 hrs daily. They are also very productive, because of the time they saved by working faster. But people failed to understand when they are at chinese restaurants chinese just wanted to serve everyone fast as possible. They are not always only wanting ur money but rather wanted to finish ur order faster! And then people complains about Chinese for making their food so long and wasting their time!
@WyrdHag3 жыл бұрын
There's plenty of people elsewhere who work 10 hours too. Here in Norway, you're expected to work at least 8 hours a day, and 10 hours is definitely not uncommon either. 🤷 It's also expected to be polite.

If you watch the video carefully at the beginning of the video you can see the concrete road in village. that's invested by Government in last 4 or 6 years. as I know this is a very large investment to contryside thru. the country , but no need any financial return from farmers. and call it as ''village to village project''. so the life in most villages of China are much easy than before.
@HJ-di1bo4 жыл бұрын
That is worth noting. I have a friend from Nepal who was so amazed by the roads and kept saying how fortunate they are. That despite being in a rural area the road is paved and concrete. Unlike his place in Nepal where he said road projects were not really being done. He is now 24 years old yet the road at their place has not yet been built.

The farmland around my hometown region (north china) has been leased out to big farm corporation. Big farm tractor and combine harvester do the work just like in USA. Most villagers now are now factory workers in village business. Two sources of income really lifted lifestyle of villagers who most now own double leveled house and family car.

Hi Miriam: i gather from the news platform, CGTN, i think, that the CPC was worried about enough rural farms starting the spring planting, does your farm receive instructions from wherever to start the planting? or some community decision is made, how does a community "know" what the schedule is and how is the decision made to implement the planting?
@anksbkt93104 жыл бұрын
De SShi Chinese farmers are just like farmers all over the world. The plants you grow depend on geographic factors. Which plants you want to plant or when you choose to grow your crops depends on yourself. The government will not interfere, and most farmers now grow food only for their own families and will not sell it. The food that Chinese urban residents eat is basically imported. As a result, many lands have been deserted, and fewer farmers are now.
@yadoliu4 жыл бұрын
Do you know the Chinese lunar calendar?That is the chronology adopted in the Chinese New Year. There are 24 festivals, each of which corresponds to the climate to remind farmers what to do. There is no need for the government or community to issue farming decisions. For thousands of years, Chinese farmers have carried out agricultural activities according to the lunar calendar.
